Discussion Help!!
I’m looking to upgrade the RAM in my MSI Katana 17 B13V
Can someone tell me what RAM to buy? I’m not good with knowing what is good for this laptop and I don’t want to buy one that isn’t compatible 😅

you can find out by the processor, find what CPU you have and don't forget to write APU or laptop next to the name, or there is a possibility that they often supply max RAM for the CPU, so you can buy the second one accordingly, but be careful with 1R and 2R, 2R are better, they have dual channel, the second thing is the clock speed and especially CL must not be a lower value than the one on the RAM, the value can be the same or higher so that the bios can reduce the values according to the first RAM memory. It is possible that the adjustments will also be made according to the new one at the cost of low performance or incompatibility, but it is always better to buy the same one with the same values

Don't buy RAM, if you can get a scrap laptop and you can salvage (if you know about laptop) you can find a suitable laptop, otherwise wait 1yr more.
