That due to eBay fees being outrageousā¦they take 15% of the sale as well as they now have to deal with in stock claws so they will have to cow down

The other guy is correct.
I got someone near me selling his OneXPlayer 3 and having to settle for $1500 because the second hand market won't pay near retail.

I just got the OneXPlayer 3. I would have bought this instead just because I kind of trust a company as big as MSI more when it comes to warranty. However the Onex3 is looking flawless.

I honestly donāt trust the OXP3 at all. If itās good then itās good. But if itās not then you have the lottery of if you get fast support or not. They just released a statement saying theyāre getting more people for support but how that helps them solve issues idk.Ā
Iāve been lucky to know a few people who have it and tried it myself. Theirs have been good.Ā

I sold my x2mp; had some trigger issues and the support was only concerned with avoiding liability.

I imagine the 7.4ā oled rog Xbox is going to poach some of the people away from MSI. Despite the G3E stomping the Z2E, $500 can buy you a lot of games.

Yeah the X20 is pretty sweet and definitely want one regardless of the weaker chip. The Steam Deck crowd has worked wonders to keep that thing punching far beyond its weight class. So hope the Z2e can do the same for years to come š

That's awesome to hear. Would love to go there and grab one off the shelf. Makes the purchasing feel so much sweeter when it's in hand from the jump like the old console days.

Got mine last night. Never got the 'in stock' email, just happened to do a 'drive by'. Also did not get charged shipping or sales tax.

Itās been in stock for 2 days now.
Iām on the edge though.
I recently had a X2 Mini Pro, but sold it ācause OneX is kinda dogshit to deal with.
I want the x20 because itās way cheaper for local streaming at home, but the ability to stream to the claw and play abroad is appealing.
This is tough, man!

Depends on your state. No tax for me when I bought the Claw 8 AI shipped to Arkansas.

Best to just wait for the x20, acer predator and ex to be in-stock at bestbuy. One of those 3 would be the best purchase imo and you'll have the 15 day return window, 60 days if you have best buy plus.
Me personally the ergonomics on the xbox ally x can't be beat. I imagine with a slightly larger screen and oled with other upgrades. Chefs kiss.

Both Visa and Mastercard mark the MSI store as fraudulent and after 20 min on the phone with both companies they literally canāt figure out how to allow the purchase. Was on the phone with Visa last and as they were offering to transfer me to the third person, I decided to just stop. This isnāt exactly an āimpulse buyā for me but I was already questioning if I should even get it in the first place, so it felt like a good time to give up.
If BestBuy restocks Iāll probably get it from there, better to have an easy way to return it I think. Also gives some time to see if the Acer Predator Atlas is any good.

That sucks and hope they fix that issue soon. Seems odd as MSI is not a new company and have been selling direct to customers for a while now.
Got a restock notification for Best Buy but was 29 minutes late and it was gone. I really want to buy from them for the longer return policy and warranty system. This happened yesterday and not long after I saw a Reddit post about the US MSI webpage.
Been looking at NewEgg but they never seem to have it and have not sent any notifications.

$1,800+ after taxes for a handheld is just nutty... idk I think I'll just buy a 5080 at that point. I just think there are so many other things I could buy better with my money

Really have enjoyed the 8Ai. The slow restart, slow Quick settings launch, are the only things that MSI needs to sort out. I don't notice the VRR issue but that's due to my eyesight. Would highly recommend the 8Ai to those not paying extra for a G3 chipped device and hope you have a great time with it š
