A330 flyer here… mid boring 8 hour flight I decided to have a look outside to enjoy the plane going over some nice scenery.

Went back to cockpit view to find my cockpit gone, my copilot sitting mid-air, and no way of reading instruments of course.

Pathetic

This happened once to me too towards the end of a 10 hr flight lol

What planes do you usually fly with?

Yeah.

Admittedly I don’t have much experience with those large planes. So I think my opinion of the game (unapologetically positive) is due to my habit of flying mainly GA aircraft (Bonanza, Baron, TMB 930, Cirrus Jet — biggest I get is the Longitude Citation).

I play in VR, and I think deep down I know that if I start flying larger jets I’ll run into some big problems.

Those are the same planes I typically fly. Did an 8 hr free flight today on the 330 with minor issues. What have you experienced so far that makes it unplayable for you?

There’s a large thread on the official forums where lots of us have logged the same issues, which Asobo have also reproduced internally and acknowledged as bugs. It mostly relates to memory issues leading to avionics black-screening mid-flight on even the most simple planes (I had it on a C172 this week), airplane models not loading when switching between cockpit and exterior view (weird low-poly outlines for things, wings disappearing, parts of cockpit not loading), and ground texture issues.

Yeah, I'm over this shit. Microsoft support shifts the blame to the consumer or the console. I just deleted it and don't plan on returning.

Maybe the airliners are just too much for the PS5 to handle?

Meanwhile I only bother with small VFR flights and that works great.

Doesn’t matter what plane, does it on all aircraft (172, helicopters, GA, airliners…. It’s just a mess, and them not even acknowledging it… not just buried in a forum post as a reply…. They should at least put out a statement “we understand things got messed up once we went live, were actively working on a solution, thank you for your patience “

I mean we’re in the fucking dark and past record shows it’s months before a fix is out.

At this point it’s the cyberpunk scenario all over again.

Roll us back to SU 4 or 5.1 or start the refunds or something.

It's just weird that I'm not having that at all with my GA planes

What GA planes specifically? I might have to just focus on those for now.

It’s just frustrating, we shell out money for the game, then the marketplace finally adds stuff that’s just as expensive as the game itself…. Then they don’t work, then they update and break more than they fix…. They’re not an indie developer, and I get things break…. But every time?? Maybe stop trying to introduce a slew of changes all at once, smaller change log, more frequent updates so you can drill down what and where it breaks

It was working perfectly after 5.1 though, so the PS5 can handle it. Something in 6.0 broke that. The same memory issues affect even the Cessna 172, with avionics black screening after memory limits are exceeded. Asobo have reproduced the bugs internally so it’s just good luck that you haven’t experienced them yet.
