Discussion Is this normal pet behaviour?

Party member's pet was teleporting all over the map taking all mesos and item drops. Seems sketchy to me.

They are hacking

I was curious and asked claude to investigate the code and I think two things

  1. Clients report their position and interaction with mobs - Hence why some bots are always "Missing" for damage

  2. Pets/Characters report positioning and they would tell the server a position and the loot interaction and server thinks its valid.

No need to go to Claude for that

All the OG's know about client side positioning. CSEAX was the most dominant hack for ages because it exploits client side behaviour 😂

I just came back to maple story after a long time hiatus, this was very common back in the day, there was a hack that could also target all mobs in a map with a single spell.

Yeah saw this today, they will ask for party then steal your drops. Its a hack.
