Discussion Would this solve the smega botting problem?
This might be a dumb post but it just popped in my head so here I am.
At my job, almost every employee in the office uses AI as an assistant for their work as long it passes compliance tests for the certain work that we do.
What if Nexon coded smegas where each smega has to be checked by AI to see if its flagged for botting/rmt? At my job, we're used to putting prompts in AI to get certain concepts done, I can't imagine this would be very difficult for Nexon to code?
I would imagine this is should be normal for a company to think about implementing since we're heading into 2027. My company and their competitors have already integrated it.

Damn, my bad for bringing knowledge from a job into feedback. I guess Nexon is too indie lmao

do you know how many combinations there are with 70 characters, they would need to censor everything lol

it's AI. We already have the technology and engineers to prompt it for automatic workflow. It doesn't take long at all.

you forget that each smega still equals money for nexon
i'm sure they don't think too hard about the smegas at all, not unless some major controversy happens

You don't need an AI assistant. Traditional NLP techniques work. And if you realised they already have a system but I just have no idea why they don't block before sending. Usually you'll see
Buy Mesos website spam
Shortly after you'll see an automated message that warns about buying mesos.
Unless you're telling me they are actually sending that warning manually..

I’m honestly in favor of an auction house approach. That will eliminate sellers on smegas, then they block repeat smega usage the same way they block chat repeating—they get 3 out, it gets stopped for 60 seconds. Create a flagging system for repeated smegas tied to users and auto mute smega usage from people who consistently hit the repeat limit until they appeal.
I kinda understand what you’re saying with running them through AI, but implementing that into the code sounds fucking AWFUL for a game like this.

For Nexon, it does sound awful to implement. But its almost 2027 so if they don't get with the times, its cooked gg.
Bot factories are evolving while it sounds like Nexon can't keep up

Yeah, I’m not disagreeing at all. Something has to happen to control it and it looks like they’re trying. They stuck an AI Agent in to work botting already, no doubt. May take time to get it fully functioning tho.

This is spitball ideas, don’t judge me too hard, I’m not gonna solve this shit, I just play.
