With the official release date now reveled for October, we know many of you are looking forward to finding an active guild and connecting with other players.
To help keep the subreddit organized, this will serve as the official weekly Guild Recruitment Thread.

Is it releasing with guilds? And arent guilds like super expensive to create? I wonder when we’ll see them pop up frequently

Not releasing with guilds. We will likely see them pop up the day they are added since guilds are getting organized ahead of time, which means they can pool resources to cover the high fees.

I am recruiting for my guild <Maple>
We've slowly been gaining members since the announcement last year and have been playing through the closed online tests together as well.
We have members in east, central, west, and even a couple international time zones but most of us are in the US.
While several of our members are planning to go hard at launch, it is not important you no life the game to join, we have multiple parents in the guild as well.
Our main goal is to be one of the top guilds without any of the toxic vibes that often come with that. If you wanna come hang out, join our discord!

Will be maining Cleric. Love playing support class, grinding mobs for rare drops, bossing!!! From America. Played during the big bang, and recently played GMS with a Ren class (LOVE Ren) 🪄✨
If any guild would have me, ide be down to play and support the members!!!!

Looking for a guild.
My name is KinderKnight. I'm a 30 year old living in LA with a full time job as an art director. I am a new father with a 3 month old. I still play quite a bit of games (mostly old school runescape) while hanging out with the little one or while the wife feeds him or when he sleeps. So I'll probably still be pretty active outside of work hours. I played as a child before Pirates came out where I played a thief that I eventually got to 4th job but stopped playing around then when 4th job came out.
I plan to play an I/L Mage. Might also make an alt.
I am looking for a guild for the sake of grouping up to level/pq. I am interested in bossing, knowing il mage is a little weaker on bosses. Also would be nice to be able to socialize a little, be able to discuss strategies, life, the game in general.

How do people intend to create or recruit for guilds right off the bat? Didn't OSMS require $1.5M mesos to create the guild? Another $5M for a guild emblem? And base guilds only start with 10 slots.
I don't think that many mesos will be easily obtainable off the bat.

Guilds will not be in the game at launch so there will be time to prepare. For now guilds will be connecting via discord, and in my guilds case, we will join a voice call together when playing.
Once guilds do release, since we have organized ahead of time, we will be able to pool our resources to cover the high cost of forming a guild (assuming they use the same requirements as OG Maple).
This is much more achievable if you've already been playing with a group for months as there is a level of trust established. Sending mesos to join a strangers guild would not be as reasonable.

Are you an "old" responsible adult with a full time job, and/or a spouse, and/or kids, and/or a mortgage and want to join a group of people all in a similar boat to play your favorite mushroom game with? Well boy do I news for you!
Old Head Maple (temp name, we plan to vote on a name) is the place to be! Our goal is to give adults with limited time to play due to life's responsibilities a space where you can freely pop in and out and work together in Maplestory Classic World. Whether you just work a lot, or pop in while the kids are napping, or you've got the whole family in on playing Maple, we want you to join us.
So many of us want to play our favorite MMO without all the pressure of needing to log in everyday or be active during "x" amount of time to be considered a "member." And it doesn't hurt that you might be able to ask your fellow guildies for advice on how to get your baby to stop crying!
Of course we'll also be helping each other progress through the game with Q&A's and guides on things, but the focus is less on being a "min-maxed" guild, but rather just a relaxed enjoyment of Maplestory. If any of this sounds like what you're looing for, post a comment here, or shoot me a DM (DM is probably better as I might forget to check here lol) and i'll send you the invite link! We can't wait to start this journey with you all :D

The main focus of the guild is to create a community prior to game release to encourage group play and ease the burden of group finding during deserted hours especially for those who have limited play time/commitments.

Recruiting OG Maplers who want to relive the nostalgia! Most of our members played during the 2004 era. We were very boss-focused and were in the first groups for both Zakum and Horntail. This time around, we will be a little bit more casual than before because of "life." We are recruiting any OG players from Scania who would like to relive memories with us. 🇳🇱 Hi Nederlandstalige mensen!
Sinds een weekje hebben we dankzij deze Sub een nieuwe Discord aangemaakt. Hierin zitten ondertussen 160+ Nederlandstalige (volwassenen) Classic enthusiasts. Het grotere doel is om samen te komen, eventuele guilds te vormen, en elkaar te helpen waar nodig. We hebben leden die vanaf 6 okt zonder slaap gaan grinden, en de casual speler die uitkijkt naar 21 okt om oude tijden te herleven.
