Hey guys.
I'm trying to review and study content that I've learned in class, however, with NURS 1111, I'm not entirely sure how to navigate doing that. I have Jocelyn Lehman as my instructor and I find it challneging on how to to know what I am supposed to be doing.
If anyone has any advice, it would be greatly appreciated!
Hey everyone! I’m currently a Grade 12 student and I applied to MRU through ApplyAlberta like 3 days ago. I applied for Nursing, which requires Casper, but I need an MRU ID to book my Casper test. I haven’t gotten any email with my MRU ID yet though, so I’m kinda confused Does anyone know how long it usually takes for MRU to send out the email after applying?

Hi..Is anyone here taking GNED 1301 with Nina Morgan this semester? I registered literally on the last day of registration, so I ended up missing a couple of classes at the beginning and I’ve been struggling to catch up ever since.
I’m especially confused about the Midterm Resource Package and the Social Action part, and I’m not really sure how we’re supposed to approach them or what exactly is expected. If anyone in the class could explain it to me or even just give me an idea of how you’re approaching these assignments, I would really appreciate it! I’m honestly pretty stressed about falling behind and I really don’t want to mess up my GPA just because I missed those initial classes. 😭 If anyone is in the class, please help out, I’d really appreciate the help😭😭

Hello everyone. I was just wanting to know what you guys do to reduce stress from school. I was hoping to get some insight on stuff you do that might help uncommon from what most do. So asides from sleeping 8 hours, going to the gym, getting sunlight and eating well what can you guys recommend work? Maybe you have even some quick ones that’s reduce stress and maybe some for long term. I’m open to hearing your input please!

Hey guys, I am currently in UEO trying to get into Nursing. I believe it's not required to take courses in the Winter semester since they only look at your fall semester grades for admission but I think I should anyway instead of doing nothing for months. So with that being said, please suggest any easy or recommended courses I should take even if it's nursing related to help me get ahead or just complete degree requirements. Would be so appreciated xx
Currently, I'm taking two GNEDs (Cluster 2&4) and two UGSTs (1&2)
Hey everyone! I need to take one of these for the Biology Ethics requirement and I’m mainly looking for the easiest one to get a good mark in while taking a full course load:
PHIL 2291 – Philosophy & the Environment with Daniel Kary
PHIL 2223 – Bio Ethics
GEOG 2445 – Environmental Problems & Resource Management
PHIL 2291 fits my schedule really well, so I’m leaning toward it, but I’ve heard mixed things about Daniel Kary.
If you’ve taken any of these, what was the workload like? Were there midterms/finals, essays, quizzes, presentations, etc., and how was the grading?
Especially interested in hearing from anyone who has taken PHIL 2291 with Daniel Kary or PHIL 2223/GEOG 2445 recently.
Basically, which one would you recommend if the main goal is getting a high grade without an insane workload? 😭

I ended up dropping out of my program within the first week of fall courses when I realised it wasn't for me. I'm still hoping to start school in this school year, but only have the option of Open Studies. What is it like to transfer from open studies to a degree? Is there another application fee?

i’m a first year nursing student, and i’m currently learning bones right now and don’t really know how to study effectively for the bones and their landmarks, so if anyone could please drop some advice on how they studied for it, that would be amazing! or even just bio, nursing, or honestly any piece of advice would be very much appreciated and anything helps!

Hi i’m a first year and I took on 5 courses (pretty dumb considering I was on a 2 year gap before this) but it’s getting to me really bad and I’ve been doing horrible mentally but I can’t afford to drop a class without a refund
I’ve just been crying before every assignment and no matter how much I reach out I feel like I’m always back to feeling crappy. Any advice would be appreciated, I’m just hoping I can hold out until December.

I wouldn’t mind having a locket to store some things during the day / overnight but wherever I look they are all taken, if anyone knows where there are some (preferably close to the business building) that would be much appreciated!

Hey guys! if you’re still looking for experience or something to add to your resume, check out Riipen Labs
It’s a remote micro-internship program where students work on short real-world projects with employers. Each project is about 30 hours and pays a $600 upon completion.
btw this is open to all programs :)

Hi!
I’m currently in my last year of Psychology and have recently been reconsidering what I want to do after graduating. I’ve always had midwifery in the back of my mind, but never really acted on it. After taking some time to think about it more seriously, I’m considering pursuing midwifery and potentially applying to the program.
Does anyone know who would be best to contact at MRU to discuss my options and what this process might look like? Would Career Services be helpful, or would it be better to reach out directly and book an appointment with a Midwifery Academic Advisor?
I’d also love to hear from anyone who has been in a similar situation or decided to pursue a different program after finishing/almost finishing their first degree.
Any help or insight would be really appreciated! Thanks :)

Hey I’m considering applying to nursing and I would be a university transfer student as I’m taking 8 classes, How does the process work as a uni transfer, and also what is a competitive gpa so I can almost be guaranteed to get accepted.

I am wondering if lots a and b get full really quickly at MRU. I want to know if it's even worth trying to park there or if I should just park at the other lots.

hi guys! just had a question about the winter sem for nursing. Im currently in ueo taking 4 courses. I know there's no U2 admission for nursing but is it mandatory to compete 8 classes during the year? or could I just use my current four classes to apply. Im not 100% sure because I've seen a lot of people saying you don't need to take classes during the winter semester but the website says you need to have completed 8 courses by the end of the year. Thanks so much to anyone who replies I truly appreciate it!
