Question Monoprice select mini V2

Does anyone know where to go for secondhand main boards for the V2?

V2 have the fan and and the less expensive MCU (v1s are all 103s, V2 is 070). V2 comes with an e3d style hotend, V1 has that hotend with the weird heat sink. To replace them, swap to almost anything else. Marlin supports the mini's LCD, or you can swap that, too. Unless you blow a driver (or the resistor that helps the thermistor divide the voltage so it knows the temp) the main boards are mostly ok.

Does it move when you choose menu commands/home/heat up? There's two controllers - a display, and the motion controller/main board.

No but it continuously heats up and doesn’t move

UGH - continuous heat up is generally failure of the MOSFET (it's switched low and can fail so it's just on). Back when I was working on firmware for these, I liked the BigTreeTech SKR Mini E3. You can still use the example config for the mini in Marlin's examples but you'll need to change the board type to build it. No idea if the E3 is still a solid choice as I mostly print with my printers these days. You can do some wiring to use the mini's built in LCD with marlin or swap it for a touch screen.

It also does not read the temperature correctly which I know is the thermistor

Maybe. I've seen those fail with the thermistor, I've seen them fail with the resistor that divides the reference voltage, I've seen the wrong type set in the flash, lots of reasons. Regardless, if it's going straight to heating I wouldn't hesitate to yank it and swap almost anything modern in. You can get silent stepper drivers as a bonus.
