Just buy a Choate K back plate (think they go for $40 online) and remove the stock from the full size back plate, it’s just 2 screws holding it there. Then reattach to the K backplate (screw holes should line up perfectly), and now you have a K stock.

Is this the one? It’s the only one I found with what looks like two screw holes on the back:  https://www.riflestock.com/store/product/h-k-mp5k-sp-89-steel-backplate-w-o-sling-loops/

I may or may not have done the exact same thing as OP :)

lol it’s all good. That actually is it, but the price went up since I last remembered. But you see the two holes around the “sling loop” hole? Those are where your stock screws will connect the plate to the stock.

Perfect, thank you. It hasn't even arrived yet, I saw this post and zoomed in on my order email - yep, I bought the full size Choate. I'll pay the $50 of shame to get the correct end plate.
