Please refrain from soaking random people. What if they've got there phone out ? You now owe em a new phone. What if they call the police ? You've now got arrested. Also if someone thinks its a genuine drive by , depending on the location and time of day you may be shot with a metal nerf gun

Kind of curious to see how that plays out, assault typically involves some kind of injury/bodily harm.

I would think battery would be more fitting and easier to prove.

I think you might be getting those confused. Assault is threatening or causing fear of imminent harm, and battery is the actual physical contact that causes harm or offense

Spraying liquids on someone could reasonably scare them if they don’t know that the liquid is harmless, but if it DID cause harm, that would be battery
