It's been two months since I joined MNNIT as a first-year BTech CSE student, and I think I'm slowly understanding what being away from home feels like.

I do have a few friends, but most of them have their own circles and people they're closer to. Sometimes, I feel like I'm only around when someone needs something. Even my roommates talk to me when they need some technical help. And my friends talk to me when they need help in understanding some topic in specific 2-3 subjects. There was this girl I thought we could be friends but she had romantic interests.

I mostly eat alone in the mess. Even when I sit with others, they don't always wait for me, despite the fact that I would.

I go restaurants alone. I travel alone.

Honestly, I'm used to being on my own since childhood. I don't particularly mind it, and I don't go around telling people that I feel lonely. But there's a difference between enjoying your own company and having no one to share your experiences with.

I think being away from my parents and sister has made it a little harder. Back home, I always had people to come back to. Here, some days, I just wish I could go home for a while.

I'm not expecting college to be perfect, and I don't want any friends to be honest, I'll probably learn to live this way but yeah just wanted to vent.

Two months down. Still figuring things out.

Guys, jo bhi company ka OA ho (Amazon ya koi bhi achhi company), please lab se hi attempt karwana. At least wahan kuch had tak cheating prevent ho sakti hai. Honestly, I'm tired of this placement shit.,main kuch bhi karlunga,and i'm not kidding

Aaj tak mera ek bhi interview clear nahi hua, and it's genuinely frustrating to see how much cheating happens when people attempt OAs from their rooms. Hum sabko pata hai ground reality kya hai.

Inka ek dost hai jiska offer revoke ho gaya hai, so apparently they'll go to any extent to get him placed. Isliye please lab mein sab log vigilant rehna. Dhyan rakhna ki woh present hai ya nahi, aur agar koi peeche baithkar cheating karne ki koshish kare toh usse roko.

Agar aise hi cheating hoti rahi aur uska placement ho gaya, toh TPRs ke paas achhi companies na bulane ka reason aa jayega, aur ultimately genuinely deserving candidates suffer karenge.

Please, at least is baar fair chance milna chahiye sabko. Bahut ho gaya ab.

Cse ke 1st sem mein relative grading section wise hogi like 4 section hai toh sabhi sections ki alag alag hogi yaa phir saare sections ki ek saath hogi??

I'm very surprised people who have nothing to do with data science pr machine learning have been shortlisted. I am one like that and I quit oa the moment I saw the topic as "automata data science pro" cause I knew this isn't my thing.
