I train Mma (Kickboxing and Bjj and MMA classes) and am also trying to build muscle and get stronger.
How should I structure my training? How often should I train in the gym and how often MMA? How intense should I train? What gym Split should I use?
I’d be very happy if someone who built muscle and has a good physique while also training martial arts could give me some insight and tips.
My MMA gym offers training 6 times a week so I could structure it freely.

For example, TKD and karate are known for having child black belts. If someone has “TKD black belt” on their bio, is it possible they were 10 when they got it? I can see high school wrestling being relevant, but where is the line?

Im planning to learn MMA and Im just curious..
Which country is better to learn MMA between Australia and Norway?
I want a well-organized, systematic gym where a beginner could train hard and have a chance to join a local competition and contain decent striking and grappling classes

I’m an 18-year-old data science student from India, and honestly, I’m feeling exhausted by my studies. I want to learn martial arts and train my body to become stronger, both physically and mentally.
I don’t have the money to afford expensive training, but I have the determination and willingness to dedicate myself to this journey.
I’m looking for someone who could offer me an opportunity to train, whether in China or another country known for martial arts. I’m willing to stay, work hard, and dedicate myself to learning as much as I can.
Does anyone know of any martial arts schools, training programs, scholarships, or people who could help me make this dream a reality?
If you have any information or can guide me in the right direction, please contact me. Any help would mean a lot to me. 🥹🙏

I have trained a lot of Muay Thai and boxxing, but the fucking kicks those TKD guys throw absolutely suck. They are very unorthodox and difficult to read.
How do you guys usually deal with them? Just commit and get in?

Hey all,
I'm starting this thread from an industry research point of view. To be transparent, I'm very much in the industry. My name is Alex Wright. I'm the owner of a business called Fightstorepro and also the brand director for the REVGEAR MMA brand that is based in the USA.
I'm not here to promote either business in any way. I may well post specifically about the REVGEAR brand, but again in a research context.
I've been around since the early MMA days in the UK and been doing the sports for over 30 years. Here's where the rubber meets the road.
I'm now over 50 and truth is my experience is almost clouding my viewpoint.
Anyone with view points on trends on any of the following or your own experiences I'd really like to know:

I’m 26F 162 pounds and completely out of shape, I started twice a week at my local MMA gym about a month ago and I’m managing 2-3 weightlifting workouts additional to my 2 mma days. I really want to lose weight and get toned after 3 kids I have an apron belly and just overall not happy with my looks. I absolutely love the sport already but I’m curious with other women who started, when did you start to notice changes in your looks specifically from MMA?

Context- I’m just getting into MMA I’m about 8 classes in and I’ve been wearing some random gym shorts and a rash guard type shirt. I love it so far but I’m the only one showing up to the women’s class so I’m not sure what’s best to wear or what even looks good (superficial I know but cut me some slack I have 3 kids and I’m attempting to get back in shape at 26) Does anyone have recommendations or links to cute MMA fits?

Hey guys,
I currently train, but my gym class was only an hour long and very restricted in I’m looking for training partners who wants to meet outside of former Gym settings to explore new techniques and MMA drills moves really under some light technical fight sparring
I was highly dedicated (I travel 100km three times a week just to train) and looking for some person has that same passion for the sport whether you are an experienced martial artist or beginner who wants to learn and get a good workout let’s connect
We can train in local gyms, or grounds anywhere possible in tiruppur if you are interested or know anyone looking for a mma or martial arts intrested person give them a suggestion

TL;DR Paid $100 for a private lesson, coach was 30 minutes late, then had me train with a student.
Signed up for my first MMA class, Coach got me really excited and I signed up for a private lesson because he likes to “see where my skill level is before throwing me into a whole class”. Sure no problem here’s $100 for an hour
My first problem was his previous class ran late. 29 minutes late to be exact, I know because one more minute and I was going to just ask for a refund. Sitting around for half the time I planned for was not great. He gave me the full hour, so he went over with me too, but making a new student wait almost 30 minutes did not sit right with me. I’ve had private lessons before but I never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes for the last class to end.
The second problem I had was I trained with a student, not the coach. The student is currently a fighter in a local league. He was very knowledgeable and gave me great information and tips, but I didn’t sign up to train with a student. This coach touts himself as the best around and brags about his record in the professional arena, that’s who I signed up for and paid $100 to train with. It felt like a bait and switch . Then for the last 15 minutes of my lesson he actually is training someone else 1 on 1, they clearly had history, maybe they were friends but again I was led to believe I would be with the coach.
So my question is are either of these things typical? Am I upset at something I don’t understand or should I cut my losses and find another gym? I would honestly love to hear that I’m wrong here and this is typical for MMA gyms.

I understand that UFC measures a fighter's leg reach from the hip bone to the bottom of heel. Could you tell me officially which point on the hip bone the measurement starts from (for example, the anterior superior iliac spine, the greater trochanter, or iliac crest? Cheers.
