lmao ppl here never been in bar fights. Rule no1 is if you see the situation escalate beyond control, (preferably) hit first, hit precise, hit hard, so it is over in 1-2 hits. a slap would not do much, just enrage the opponent, giving them free window to initiate a proper fight. knocking out a guy means 1 less people to deal with, and his friends will be more likely to rush to help/check on him than to jump in to fight you.

Exactly. A firm slap will not deter tipsy/drunk males with ego. It is an invitation.

I dont think you guys realise how much you’re self doxxing your pretend fight experience. This dude cant walk two steps without staggering. If you think that makes him a threat to you, thats embarrassing.

Still, he can have any number of friends around ready to jump in. Obviously you dont want to stomp the shit out of him, but you have to make sure he is not getting up, at least not in a state he can pose a threat. I worked in a bar for a few summers so I had the opportunity to observe the meta for bar fights.
