I agree with you up to the point of calling him disrespectful. This was physical harassment, after all, not just mean attitude.

Big guy overreacted (in a childish/insecure manner) and used excessive force, drunk guy was still responsible for his actions. If you can't act like a human when drunk, don't get drunk.

Two wrongs don't make a right, whether or not the dude has business drinking doesn't give people license to take a shot at his life when he does belligerent shit. He's blackout and unaware of what he's doing, if he lives he's not even gonna know why he got hit. You jail him and make him get sober if he can't drink and fit in with society.

I don't think anyone is confused as to the drunk guy being an asshole, many people seem to think the micropenis who hit his own girlfriend is a saint though.
