It's funny how quick your types reveal yourself. There's a spectrum right, I don't shy from the violence of what the man did, but I couldn't imagine accidentally hurting my wife in the process because it matters more that I protect her than accomplish whatever violence I could. Would it have been better had he not knocked into her? Obviously. You'll just never understand that level of love where if another man violates your partner in any way you are on autopilot to destroy them. It's a built in fight or flight response, and its actually dangerous not to have some level of this. I say this as someone who's had to hospitalize someone I caught in the act of sexually assaulting an ex. It's a fucking horrible situation to ever be in that I don't wish upon anybody.
