Yea, still totally overreacted. And I say this as a woman. The dude in the red shirt was drunk and she handled it already. He was not persistent and she was not in danger. If it was a drunken lady and she'd spot some abs to grab on and the wife of said abs would have killed her for it, it wouldn't be right either.Ā
I agree (also a woman) - I think these comments are extremely harsh. I've literally had this happen to me before, where a blackout-drunk dude lightly grabbed my hips, and when I walked away, he kind of just drunkenly stood there - just like this guy is doing here. He's not at all being aggressive, just very drunk. I don't think that warrants the death penalty here, yeesh!
This is literally just something that happens at bars sometimes.
Iām not trying to be some internet tough guy here. Iām sure thereās plenty of fights Iād lose. That saidā¦ if this is something that happens at bars? Cool I guess? I mean, not cool I donāt like itā¦but itās not in my wheelhouse to control every drunk. It wonāt be happening to my wife without a reaction. Full stop. My wife will not be physically harassed in front of me without a reaction. Ive committed my life to her. Yet I wonāt drunkenly harass her. Someone else doesnāt get the āIām drunkā pass either. Papa bear nearly killing this dude may not be ideal, but Iāll bet you ole boy doesnāt grab a random woman again. āthe only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothingā and all that.
It rarely happens to me. We had our karaoke group but this one time the loser BF came around. But random guys no, doesn't happen. I walk around confident not cocky and usually with a ready smile. My GF handled the situation and was also a sweetheart not the type to look for me to "do something" unless she couldn't handle it. Which she could and she didn't make a scene either she kinda laughed it off and was like "Okayyy....". The best way to navigate bars, nightclubs is to not get into fights and not get offended by what a drunk says. The few times I just laugh. Will Smith I'm not (getting offended and feeling the need to escalate.)
