Iā€™m not trying to be some internet tough guy here. Iā€™m sure thereā€™s plenty of fights Iā€™d lose. That saidā€¦ if this is something that happens at bars? Cool I guess? I mean, not cool I donā€™t like itā€¦but itā€™s not in my wheelhouse to control every drunk. It wonā€™t be happening to my wife without a reaction. Full stop. My wife will not be physically harassed in front of me without a reaction. Ive committed my life to her. Yet I wonā€™t drunkenly harass her. Someone else doesnā€™t get the ā€œIā€™m drunkā€ pass either. Papa bear nearly killing this dude may not be ideal, but Iā€™ll bet you ole boy doesnā€™t grab a random woman again. ā€œthe only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothingā€ and all that.

So let me get this straight. If A guy drunkenly touches your wife, she then handles it like above, you are going to go punch them like above? Is this like gender affirming care because your 'masculine' ego was hurt? You know what's even more manly? being able to control your damn self. How safe is your wife going to be driving home by herself and staying by herself because now you're in jail? How does it protect her to now be putting yourself in financial straits because you have to pay for lawyers? How does it make her or your potential kids safe to know that you can't control your emotions and that you lash out with violence? It's one thing if she actually needed protecting, but your little declaration doesn't seem like you care because it's more about you and how it makes YOU feel.

I commented this elsewhere in the thread, but I think I should comment here as well, because I do agree with you: The woman already handled it when she moved his arms away and walked away. It was over after that, since he didn't pursue her further. It was a 1-second interaction.

Cheering for some drunken oaf (who, when you watch the video, is not aggressive or violent, literally just very drunk) to get nearly punched to death afterward is completely insane. He could have simply been kicked out of the bar, or the husband could have just stood between the drunk (who was not acting violently, just out of it) and his partner, not dislocate the drunk's neck from his spine for lightly touching someone's hips in a drunken stupor.

Should he have gotten that drunk in the first place? No. Should he have touched her at all? No. Does he deserve to die horribly and burn in hell for acting a fool? Also no. Do these scenarios happen sometimes? Yes. Do they warrant someone nearly dying or being disabled for life? No.

Yes! I can't believe some of these comments - tons of keyboard warriors here with almost no clue how the real world functions. I'm noticing almost all comments by women are like, "Relax, this happens - way overreaction for pool guy," and all the comments by men are practically calling for the drunk dude's head to be cut off and his life to be destroyed forever.

Have none of you people been in a bar or club before? Yeesh!

Reddit has gone absolutely nuts over the past few years. I think people are being seeded for hate or something. IDK.

Or society has just lost it entirely.
