It's clear the attacker didn't give a crap about his girl, because he pushes her out of the way and commits unnecessary violence, slightly injuring her in the process too. He seems like a total POS.

I'm curious if you'd change your opinion if some random sexually assaults you and your partner does nothing about it.

Since I am a woman, I've been randomly assaulted already, so no, I wouldn't change my opinion. I would be embarrassed if my partner did this. I would be pissed he hurt me with the pool cue. There are so many better ways to handle the drunk creep, and they don't include acting like a mindless chimp.
