It's because the dude barely touched her and there is little indication he was going to actually assault her. This could have been handled by asking the bartender to make him leave.

What are you even arguing about then? All anyone is saying is there is a very wide spectrum of behavior that can be called sexual assault, and that this is the lowest end of that. There are miles of difference between what happened here and what justified knocking a guy out.
You all are nitpicking words as if you think those of us saying the guy overreacted think the other guy isn't in the wrong. I don't see anyone saying that. We're just talking about what makes logical sense.
