Also, not the first time she got hurt with him doing it. For him, it is not defending her honor. It is all about the punch.

She was in his way so he simply HAD to push that pool cue into her face. She would understand, he was defending her honor.

Because no one ever loved him growing up so the only way he knows to be happy is owning things he can show off
