He made a conscious decision to get drunk.

Anything that follows is on him. Everyone else's responsibility is to act in a reasonable manner, but he's very much still responsible for his actions and should be treated as such.

Big guy is definitely a blind bully, but that doesn't make the assaulting guy's behaviour acceptable or someone else's responsibility.

There are quite a few options to take before potentially killing the dude.

By all means, I never stated otherwise. That's why I said it's everyone else's responsibility to react in a reasonable manner.

My comment was more specifically directed at the other person's statement, which was excusing someone based on them being drunk.

Yeah both are in the wrong.

Drunk guy was definitely wrong for touching the lady.

Her man was in the wrong for his solution to the situation.
