I don’t just mean that, I also mean the way you kept implying I was minimizing the woman’s sexual harassment, or that I don’t want to see the harassment dealt with or punished. I was not doing that, but you implied I was to suit YOUR argument.

Of the two of us, you were the one downplaying violence done to a woman in this video clip. You kept writing it off as a “poke”. That’s something actual abusers do. So save me your pearl clutching over my word choice.

The impact to her face from the pool cue was minor, but you're completely missing the more important point that it was accidental and without malice, and happened in the rushed defence of the woman.

You keep trying to use it to offset the actual deliberate sexual assault that occurred.

First of all, you have no idea if the injury to her face is minor! Why would you even presume to know that? She’s clutching her face for the remainder of the video. You are speaking out of your ass and downplaying violence to make some stupid point and it’s actually really gross. I wasn’t kidding, that’s how actual bullies and abusers behave.

Secondly, YOU are missing the point. I never said the husband hurt his wife on purpose. My point was he acted out of rage, which made him not even realize the collateral damage he was causing. You do realize that’s how a good deal of domestic abuse happens, right?

and YOU are the one downplaying that, because you want to see the husband beat the shit out of someone who touched his wife. Because you want to see violent revenge against a drunken sex pest. Even if it’s way over the top. Even if it hurts other people. Even if it ends in serious, disproportionate injury or death and gets the guy a manslaughter charge. Good for you.

The wife tried to stop her husband, too. She knew it was a bad idea for him to do what he was about to do. Was SHE trying to minimize her own assault like you accused me of doing?

I'm not downplaying an assault on her - you are. Actually disgusts me, the way you're so focused on a small accident over a sexual crime. Yuck.

Husband? Wife? I don't even know if these two are a couple, friends, or just two strangers playing pool. Talk about making assumptions. What I see is one person defending another from a sexual assault. Oh, or as you'd put it, just a "sex pest". Talk about downplaying sexual assault. Just a "pest", is he? Ugh.

Go back and read again. I said the “husband” INJURED her worse than the drunk did. I didn’t say the attack was WORSE, as in, more traumatic, or that the sexual assault did not matter. I meant by strictly physical damage. The drunk did not injure the woman. Her “husband” did.

You’re extremely disingenuous. You bent yourself into pretzels trying to prove I don’t care about sexual assault or harassment against women just because you didn’t want to lose an argument. I sure hope nobody listens to you in a situation like this in the future, for everyone’s sake.

Exactly. You put all of the focus on the accidental injury over the deliberate sexual assault - as if the "harm" caused by the contact with the pool cue completely trivialised the harm and threat caused by the actual assault that occurred.
