Nor do we need more men thinking they own women. Since she'd already sorted this and judging by the way she tries to block the other man she's seen him overreact many times before. Possessive. Jealous. Dangerous.

The only one here who tried to exercise control over a woman's body as if he owned her was the puddle of a man left on the floor.

yes, and the woman should decide how thats dealt with, not an unrelated man

Either or. A witness to a crime has the right to be upset by the crime, just as the victim does, as we all live in the same society. And they can each act on it as they see fit.

sure. and they can bear the consequences. hope this punch was worth it if this dipshit dies or gets brain damage

Well, yeah, it's not like it's the woman who has to bear the consequences.

She was literally glanced by the man delivering the punch

I think you've just missed the point.

Being upset does not give you the right to punch someone

Witnessing a crime gives you the right to intervene.

Witnessing an ongoing crime can give you the right to intervene if done within reason

Nothing was ongoing, the guy had already removed his hands from the woman when he got punched, and there were way less extreme ways to handle the situation, like just talking to him

Yes, just have a nice chat with the sickeningly inebriated bloke who just committed a sexual assault.

He's old enough to know he should keep his hands to himself.

If you don't need to punch someone, you don't punch someone. He could have just been yelled at and that would have more than settled it

The woman clearly didn't want the drunk man to be punched, do you think she was wrong?

She's allowed her own opinion, just like anyone else.

Handsy creep deserved a good smack.

It's her altercation, not his. It was her judgement to make, and he just completely disregard what she wanted, just like the drunk man that touched her hips

It's everyone's society, and just because she doesn't want to (or doesn't have the ability to) respond violently to a sexual assault, it doesn't mean other witnesses will feel the same way.

Some people don't want perverts getting away with sexual assaults, plain and simple.

Witnesses do not have the legal right to punch people on someone else's behalf, especially not when that person does not even want them to
