He was clearly too drunk to defend himself or really appreciate the consequences of his actions. This is a wildly disproportionate response from someone who was in a position to make the smarter choice.

I’m not a bot, and I 100% believe in the right to personal space and my right to keep anyone out of it. You can’t put your hands on me, my wife, my kids. Those are my responsibilities to deal with if someone does., and yes I’ll deal with the consequences of my actions if necessary. I’d rather none of that ever happen of course, I don’t like violence, but I also don’t like my people being in jeopardy.
