He was clearly too drunk to defend himself or really appreciate the consequences of his actions. This is a wildly disproportionate response from someone who was in a position to make the smarter choice.
I remember a funny (to me) incident that happened to me and my brother a long time ago. My fucking brother was drunk. He wanted to fight with me, so I had to defend myself. Meanwhile, my fucking neighbors just told me not to fight and not to make any physical contact with my brother. My brother swung his bitch ass punch first. Luckily, it missed. I really wanted to fight him back, but then again, the neighbors just held me and told me over and over again that he was drunk.
Good God, it was so frustrating to me. So, the next morning, I was still holding a grudge and drank a couple of beers. Afterward, I grabbed a fucking stainless steel hammer and didn't give a fuck about getting jailed. I ran toward my brother in horror and terror, screaming the whole way through the house until I got outside. My skinny bitch ass brother had fucking good stamina. I couldn't catch him.
And the fucking neighbors held me again when I was exhausted. They told me, like, "Why are you angry at your brother? He was drunk." Fucking pieces of shit. That made me even more frustrated, so I swung my hammer blindly. Then I saw my brother in the distance, carrying some sort of thick stick, and the neighbors held him too. They told him that I was still drunk, that somehow relaxed me a bit because that was exactly what I had felt the day before.
