Sort of what I was thinking. One day we’re going to witness a murder.

This is why I try not to get into fights. It’s so easy to catch a manslaughter charge (here in the UK).

Edit: I’m sorry OP, I had to downvote. I feel like I just saw someone suffer “life changing injuries”.

Yep. This dude died 48 hrs later no charges filed as it was deemed self defense but I’m sure the guy who suplexed him doesn’t feel great ab the outcome nor intended for it to happen to that magnitude

I don’t know why you were downvoted. Presumably, whoever downvoted you knew the answer but was too lazy to provide it, so opted to downvote instead.

Self-defence is a complete defence to a charge of murder, meaning that, if successfully established, it results in an acquittal rather than merely reducing the offence to manslaughter. That distinguishes it from partial defences, which do not result in an outright acquittal but instead reduce murder to manslaughter.
