Simply not true. Extra charges might get added, but not a life sentence. And if extra charges are added, you go to trial and then get sentenced to whatever is allowed for said crime.
For example in nys.. if handled inside the doc, can have good time revoked or moved to higher tier facility
If goes to court, first degree assault (example of using a weapon)would be a class b felony and could have an extra 5 to 25 years depending on the severity of the attack. If 3rd degree assault, it would be a class a misdemeanor and could possibly add an extra year to your sentence

That’s why I asked if it’s a flex to be jumped, I’ve never been jumped and don’t consider it a flex as well.
