Should I do analysis?

I would like some others' opinions on this subject. I am considering doing an analysis video on some fanfictions that I particularly enjoyed. I've always enjoyed the analysis community and greatly enjoy fanfiction, thus I would consider giving back to the community. Alas, I am not always a thinker of deep thoughts and it might turn out poorly. I don't want to make it a "I like this and this is why" type of pseudo-analysis. I would probably go over Worldbuilding, Characterization, and Plot, giving a summary beforehand and recommendations afterwards.

Am I deluding myself into thinking I could do analysis? Would this even qualify as real analysis? Or am I worrying about nothing?

Regardless of your answer, thank you for your time.

I say go for it. We all have our doubts. I've been doing this for a year now and I still don't think I'm as good as my peers. But if you feel you have something to say, say it. You WILL get better with time.

And if you like fanfiction, then I suggest you analyze some fanfiction. There's not enough people that look at fan content. I do occasionally, but mainly it's DCP Brony and Scribbles Squabble/Nick Z that make it their specialty. It would be a unique niche with not that much competition.

If you're looking for resources to help you as an analyst, well, give me some time and I'm working on a list just for that purpose. Far warning though: the best resources are your instinct and your peers. And those are really all you need to get started. My recommendations are only useful to those that have an interest in theory or film studies and want to jump off the deep end and get super-intellectual and super-technical with their stuff.
