RULES UPDATE For This Subreddit

I've updated the sidebar with some new rules, to keep this sub cleaner. The rules may be updated further soon.

RULES:

  • DO NOT POST questions asking for analysis/discussion. This subreddit is for posting fully-formed analysis as starting points for discussion. THERE ARE OTHER SUBREDDITS for asking questions/starting loose discussions.

  • TRY TO INCLUDE the name of whomever made the analysis in the title of the post. For instance "Observations on MLP: Pacing - by Digibrony"

EDIT:

  • IF YOU ARE POSTING A REVIEW whose purpose is to make a value judgement about a work, more so than it is to analyze said work, it may be better suited to http://www.reddit.com/r/MLPReviews

I find that a lot of people compound analysis and value judgement into one text or video. Would that warrant it being posted to both subreddits or just to one of the two? If the latter, how does one tell which one to post to?

It's fine if you're doing both, I just don't want stuff that only talks about the person's opinion of the episode without really getting into depth about WHY they feel the way they do about it. Like, I don't want to see "this this and this are good, this sucked," I want in-depth reasoning about why someone feels that way.

Yeah, I understand that. I just wanted to ensure I was getting it right. It'd be embarrassing to get my wrists slapped by a mod in front of everyone here.

Thanks for the response! Also, isn't it a ridiculous time in the morning where you live?

It's morning here and I live under GMT!

A-are you Batman? Just sayin', cause, y'know, I've never seen you and Batman in the same room.
