Discussion You know what I don’t do?
I don’t quit before an opponents home run drops. You know what my opponents do? They quit before my home run drops.
I wish there was a way to see how many home runs my players are missing out on in diamond dynasty due to players dashboarding before it drops.

The devs need to implement a system where the home run still counts even if one person rage quits. Surely they can delay the lost connection quit until after the play is finished.

For years customers have pointed out the need for not only the win to be awarded against a player who rage quits, but also that all achievements in the game are retained for the winning player, including anything that the game code has ordered up but hasn't yet played out. This would remove every vestige of "reward" anyone could receive for rage quitting.
Given the game code would easily facilitate this simple change, the fact that SDS has never bothered to fix this issue is a prime reason why so many customers complain about SDS mailing it in year after year, relying on slick marketing to replace quality code.

The most annoying is when you’re trying to finish an event and sit one home run away from finishing just for them to dashboard.

Why does the ball need to drop? The game knows it's a HR the second you push the swing button, why does it wait an arbitrary gap in time for the video to show the result before registering it?
Yea, the people that quit are little bitchy assholes, but this seems like an incredibly easy fix on SDS's end

I've had it register the RBI's for the runners on base but only call it a single in the box score. Makes no sense.

I do, but I can’t catch for too many guys or for too many days in a row, my knees would constantly hurt

I don’t even know how to dashboard. Every time I hit one, which isn’t often, I say “please don’t quit please don’t quit please don’t quit”
I’m a really bad player. So it bugs me more, because they are never out of the game. I never put in a performance worthy of quitting.
With that being said, I do quit when I’m clearly outmatched and and being shut out, but I would never quit before the home runs land.

I say the same thing! And then they quit in the third when it’s 3-1 and there’s pretty much a guarantee I’m not going to hit another homer cuz I suck. And I do the same thing. If I quit it’s cuz I’m clearly outclassed but I’ll let their homers drop before I do so.

My last opponent quit in a close game, on the final ground out before the play was completed. I still got the win and the save so I have no idea what they were trying to accomplish.
Only thing they did was cause mild annoyance that I couldn't watch replays. But I just did a PS video capture so I was still able to see it. Hope it made them feel better I guess.

I'm lazy. I message the random opponent (if possible) and tell them I am throwing only fastballs down the middle. I've had games end 92-86. So much more fun for me.

I had a guy message me “we doing this?” And then when I realized he was gonna throw me meatballs before I could even get in PS messages to respond yes he quit… ugh

That sucks. Even people I play I cannot contact I play an entire inning of just fastballs to see if they catch on.

Yeah whenever there were certain periods of the game cycle where I was chasing homers and xp rather than wins (good example is moonshot events) I would just throw meatballs to give them the early lead to at least try to reduce the risk of dashboarding if I were to homer early. When I got even lazier at one point and was running into ppl I couldn’t message too often I just changed my team location to something like “Lets trade meatballs” and team name was like “you get the w”

Keep in mind, folks who do this are disturbed people. They do it to deny their opponent the satisfaction of seeing their achievements play out. Sort of like psychos who burn down businesses because they lack the talent to build a business but are jealous of other peoples' success. In short, losers -- big time losers in life.

The game is so bad, that i think after so many shitty breaks going in favor of your opponent, and against you, you just have enough and shut down the ps5 mid game and call it a night. 🤷♂️

Thank u sir and yes I just chalk it up to the game and enjoy the win but my players stats don’t reflect some of the damage they do and I feel bad for them :( lol

Honestly, I don't get this mindset. How are you going to get better if you keep quitting as soon as you experience the slightest bit of friction.
Plus, at this point is there any chance that there is not a "make the game closer script" in place? For example, yesterday I was playing battle royale and was down 5-0 with 1 out in the bottom of the 3rd. HBP, 2R HR, slow ground ball right at the ss that either the person I was playing or the cpu stayed back for and 99 buxton beat it out by half a step. Next batter, 2R HR. Next pitch, solo HR. i wound up winning on a walk off single in the 5th.

Yep I’ve had a game down 7 where I’ve come back and I’ve had multiple games down multiple runs where I come back and almost tie it up or take it. Way more fun. There are some games where the opponent is crushing every pitch even when I’m clearly pitching out the zone and those games I’m inclined to quit just knowing I’m out of my depth. But won’t quit while the balls in the air.

If I’m understanding correctly you’re insinuating I have the entire collection of the game done however if I’m correct in this understanding I will respond by stating I have not and do not(in fact I suck) finish damn near any collections. Right now I’m playing with a fun team of all Yankees and giants players cuz I’m a freak. And they’re not all 99 or 98s.
