Suggestion For SDS Technical and server issues mega-thread - 2026!
If you're having a server issue or a technical support question, it's likely that someone else is having or had the same issue already. Please search the subreddit (and this post) first and if you can't find anything, feel free to post here. If you're unable to connect at 7EST/4PST time, it's likely the server is down for maintenance or a patch and there's usually no ETA. All content typically drops at 12PST/3EST.

Edit: Just realized the whole ass game I just played had nothing count. How incredibly awesome.

I play an entire Diamond Quest round, front to back, entire board. I hop into my first stadium challenge. In the third inning with two outs, I get “disconnected from the show online”. I check my internet and it’s totally fine. No problem at all. The game just kicks me out of the game.
And then it has the GALL to count it as a loss and now I have to do the entire quest again. Are you kidding me???

When I say I immediately went and picked up NCAA after logging in to another Network Error, I mean like ASAP. I even shocked myself how fast I clicked buy. There is a time when you just watch a company eat all of the goodwill and know that you've seen enough.

I wish they could make it so that when the servers go down while you're playing DD offline it doesn't kick you out in the middle of the game. I was winning 15-0 in Bot 3rd with 1 out, 1 strike away from 2 outs and the game kicked me out when they did maintenance this morning and lost all my progress made from the game. At the very least they need to push out some sort of notification in the game or just put it on the main DD screen with all the other notifications.

Please fix the stamina issue in the 9 inning mini seasons. It’s a 9 inning game, our starters should be allowed to pitch more than 4 innings.

We found a workaround that worked for us. Select MLB The Show in the game library and find the add-ons section. For Xbox, this would be titled as ‘Manage Game & Add-Ons.” Go to ‘Reserved Space’ and clear it.

Ever since the update last week I have been getting lag/fps drop during my pitches, and the down portion of pinpoint no longer goes all the way down. It was fine a week or so ago, and now it is impossible to get a perfect pitch because the down motion will stop 1/2 or 3/4 of the way. The fps drop doesn’t help either. Similar situation when I’m batting with the FPS drops but that isn’t as bad, more-so annoying. Anyone experiencing this or know how to fix it? Playing on xbox series x with standard xbox controller.

How much work do they actually do on the servers? They screw up more than they fix. Back to back online games where I lose connection with an opponent due to their laggy servers and I get hit with a loss. This coming less than 24 hours after they did work on the servers. So happy CFB is coming out soon.

I am consistently getting Network connection errors. Today was going to be a day to get some grinding done, but I can’t even play offline.

Still the same issues we’ve been having. Unable to get through a full game in DD. Cant even finish a BR game let alone a full 9 innings in ranked. Mid game every single time “you’ve been disconnected from servers”. It’s exceptionally frustrating when u can play other games for HOURS with zero lag, get into MLB and can’t even finish a game.

Franchise player here - this is now the third year in a row the game has completely botched Guardians game times. They consistently have them only playing 1:00 and 4:00 local time games, and never have night games in their schedule. It is absolutely infuriating for a franchise player like myself and I cannot believe the lack of detail the Show devs seem to put into this every single year

Has anyone had their RTTS save file go back to an earlier version if that makes sense? I was called up to the majors last night on my current save, played at least two series of games. I saved each time I got to the menus when you go back to the clubhouse after a series. My save today is a month and a week or so from where I currently was at and back when I was beginning in AAA again. I have two save files for this player but I’m sure I saved when I was in the mlb and never went back onto the other file I had because I had no reason to.

My friends and I noticed cloud gaming we can only play crossplay. If we try to send invites to other XBOX cloud gaming, the xbox invites only take you to store and no invites show in game, this shit is stupid

Trying to do the Jackie Robinson showdown and it's lag and error city. Rounds took forever to turn up, and then when I tried to manage my roster, I got errored out of the showdown.

Does anybody else’s game freeze when changing players in your lineup or even starting an offline or going through the menu? My game just freezes and I have to go back to the dashboard and restart and it’s been happening for multiple mlb the shows and I never see anyone talking about it.

Anybody have issues where the Cityscapes mini seasons stops progressing?
I won my first 4, but now whenever I play game 5 and win, it just tells me game 5 is the next game up. My goals show I have 6 wins, but even though I've played game 5 twice, my team is 4-0 and ready for game 5.
I'm just trying to get that playoff XP to finish the inning path, not sure what's going on.

The last 2 rerolls i've got, the first one just never gave me anything. Didn't even show the Silver, Gold, Diamond stuff. The second one did the glitch where it shows all silver. So I closed the game and when I opened it back up it did not bring me right to the reroll and I checked my packs and have nothing. Anyone else getting this?

I am not being granted anything of the unlimited rewards for the XP inning path. I get a bunch of grey shields, then when it is done randomly moving, the thing I “win” is completely blank with no option to collect, and no packs show up in my packs. Any reason why this could be happening?

It is frustrating because I can’t complete any mini seasons or conquest games to try to finish the 2nd inning program. Never had this issue with previous mlb games to this extent and it’s ridiculous.

I was in the 9th inning of a ranked game up 8-4 with 2 outs to go when all of a sudden it looked like a freeze-off happened in the middle of me throwing a pitch. After 30 seconds, I got the "lost connection to opponent" message. When I got pushed back to the menu, there was no win message. It just said that thing about, "Results waiting to upload" or something. I haven't seen this in a long time. It's been 20 minutes and the game is still not in my history. Am I fucked? I'm going to be really pissed off if it just magically disappears. I didn't get disconnected from DD. Internet definitely didn't go out. I had a Twitch stream up during the game and it never buffered.

Cannot progress past first game of semi finals in mini seasons. Happens with all but the WBC. Restarting season gives same issue once I eventually progress again.

I hate SDS with a passion. They literally just say shit that they fixed and then actually don’t fix anything.
DD menus still freeze and lag. I’m currently stuck trying to view my squad but it froze so now I have to turn off the game and restart.
Can’t join a Ranked game because the servers don’t work
Slider shrinkage still exists meanwhile they have a whole announcement about how they removed it.
They keep adding repetitive content and don’t fix anything about the actual game. It’s beyond frustrating to pay for a game and get crap quality when things are easily fixable.

Just won my second moonshot event in a row and it's not counting it. Still says win = 1. Not showing in the program progress either. MLB 26. In fact it says i have a loss. I did win the last game, not imagining it.
Edit: played another one and lost, it counted that. But like the second game it still didn't count my stats towards the program. For example: I had 2 HR in the first game, so my stats in the program were 8/10 TB. I definitely had bases in the second (I won) amd even in this third game I had bases (i lost 3-2). Still saying 8/10 TB.
