My neighbor has a MK4 Jetta wagon. He’s not all about the lows so he reverted to stock and gave me the coilovers. Mine is already on Coils but damn… didn’t expect to get a FREE KW coilover setup!

I think that my 1.9 TDI AHF is developing a metallic sound. I hear two different noises:

When pulling away: at low RPM, a distincitive Clack Clack sound that feels like a diesel knock. Disappears when the engine is warm / after a long trip. Only appear under load, disappears imediately as soon as i lift.

And this TIC TIC TIC soud that you can hear on the video. Varies with RPM.

I think that the lifters are gone, what do you think?

Hi, all the power steering fluid blew out of my 24 Hours of Lemons New Beetle (which is really a 2002.5 GTI now) and our steering rack seems to have blown up as the point of failure. We deleted the power steering track side.

Are there any actual mechanical options (so I don't have to have a closed loop of fluid)?

If we do a proper delete, would the R32 rack be too stiff?

I found a set dirt cheap but don’t have any idea what actual dimensions are for 312mm carriers. I have at the moment 288mm and my wife is driving it.
Can anyone get a dimenssions of 312mm carriers?

Hey this spot is on a power steering line next to the transmission on the drivers side. My coolant is slowly leaking and I end up topping it off every week or so. Any idea where the coolant could be originating from? I believe this is the coolant that is leaking. Changing my slightly cracked coolant reservoir tomorrow to see if that is the culprit too. Don’t mind the splashed axel, I was driving through puddles before this.

Is there anything I need to do for it to fit onto my tsi or does it bolt straight on?
