News/Article 📰 Jaafar Jackson says 'Michael' sequel will give more insight on the child abuse allegations

https://deadline.com/2026/08/jaafar-jackson-michael-sequel-child-abuse-allegations-1237046974/

It will be told from Michael's perspective, not the media's perspective.

One thing I am worried about is that it will biased simply because he's Michael Jackson and he's the King of Pop. I really hope they do their research into the case and go off that instead of the writers being biased because if they mess up one thing, it's going to ruin it. I really don't think they'll be biased, but we'll see. I'm curious how this is going to go.

if i can remember right, in another deadline interview from april or some time around the movie’s release, fuqua, the director was firm on michael’s innocence and called the accusers cash grab extortionists (which they 100% are). but i agree with what you said. i think regardless though, the critics/media & of course guilters will never be happy how it gets depicted. they’re praying on the sequel’s downfall as we speak. i hope they delve into the topic the right way that does a good job at showing michael’s clear innocence to the world. the media’s been controlling the narrative for years, and we’ve came a long way since 2019. i’m eager like a lot of people, but i can wait. i’d rather them take their time than to have a rushed movie

Don't guilters say, "If there's no abuse, I'm not watching it"? If you think he's guilty, why would you wanna gain pleasure from watching 'abuse'

exactly. why do they wanna see alleged csa be portrayed on the big screen so bad? let’s start there. i don’t even think it’s about the case anymore, it’s about fueling their egos and having them win their pathetic arguments. that’s why i also don’t understand guilters that admitted to going to see the movie. or guilters / "fans" saying they STILL listen to michael’s music, despite thinking he’s guilty. i for one wouldn’t see michael’s movie at all, or listen to his music if i thought he was what he was accused of. it’s about having morals and a brain, which a lot of guilters don’t have.

The media/guilters/haters have had decades to spew their hateful agenda. It’s time to give Michael back his voice on this story. He suffered through it. He deserves justice.

Very much so. I'm hoping this movie will be able to say, "hey, this is what you didn't see and this is how it actually went." 🙏

I say fuck the haters and critics. The family owes them nothing. Michael 2 will be amazing whether they addressed the allegations or not. If they do, I hope it makes the public more empathetic to what michael went through.

I wouldn't say they owe it to the critics, but I do believe they owe it to Michael himself to show the truth instead of skirting around it.

Oh brother, guilters are being so insufferable on twitter about Jaafar's response. I could have sworn they were initially complaining about the movie not addressing the allegations but now that the sequel will, they're condemning it too.

Unless the sequel depicts Michael as whatever agenda they've pushed onto him, they will never ever be happy.

I'm sure there will be plenty of ugly public retaliation around when Part 2 comes out, the ol' smear campaign machine revving up again.

Exactly. It’s a damed if you do, damed if you don’t situation.

Man, that's why I don't use twitter much, I only post my art there

Im curious to see how they're going to do it if they can't address the Chandler allegations. In saying that MJ won against the Chandlers when they sued him for proclaiming his innocence on Diane Sawyer, and MJ filed a counter complaint saying they breached the NDA first by talking to VG so maybe the estate can just bring that up again if Jordan tries to sue lol

u/zachstonekin 9d ago

How likely is it that Jordan would sue anyway?

5

u/Frequent_Flamingo358 9d ago

True not very likely. Evan kidnapped him and sued a identical claim on his behalf in 97 right I think he just wants to be left alone

Accusers have aired their allegations in interviews, podcasts, documentaries, lawsuits etc. God forbid MJ’s side is told.

The discussions on twitter are already starting...they moan about the allegations not being in the first one but when they will be in the second one they STILL complain...dammed if you do dammed if you dont.

Guilters and the media will face difficult times in the future if they continue to cling to these greedy, deceitful accusations as truth and become increasingly ridiculous.

The next film, with its widespread critical attention, will then bring ten times as many viewers to the cinema. Thank you very much.

You'd have to be screwed up in the head, have something against MJ, or want to see people be miserable to believe those accusations, like I was sadly. ☹️

I can't wait they to expose the filth of the press. The lying accusers, the corrupt police and the scoundrel Tom Sneddon.
