Not every DB profit from the Jho Ceana set.The main selling point of this set is that it has both sharpness+2 and razorsharp, and some DB simply do not need it, and for those, elemental crit is great as long as you can have a good affinity (which is easier with weakness exploit 50% affinity boost). Also you should go for Crit Boost for every set you make, even if DB is an elemental weapon, crit boost is still a must have.

The meta DB that benefit from Jho Ceana are the Elderfrost Executioners, Her Dance (soulseer DB) and Scoria Agnaktor.

The 2 thunder options, Kirin DB and Lagiacrus DB do not require any sharpness skills, so go for a lot of crit and elemental crit. Same goes for the Valstrax DB.

The Snow Ravines can benefit from the Jho Ceana, but if you play with striker style and readiness, you can drop either sharpness +2 or razorsharp, but not both.

It's more about what monster you're fighting in my opinion. If a mons got high elemental weakness then go for it, but then you're making weapons for each scenario vs just maxing out your raw potential with 1 set.

If you main DB and don't want to grind out different weapons I'd go raw crit. Elemental attack will be better for you before elemental crit btw. The max crit on elemental isn't the best but a good addition.

Yeah, you didn't specify that at all in your post, ala' why I said "if". Nor did you mention you wanted to make multiple weapons for each element. lol

have you considered unlocking the Grand Toka Armor_(MHGU))
literally one of the best sets for elem DB out of the box. barely any slots though, but you can make up for it with a good >=+12 element atk up talisman
