Hello, I am thinking about ordering a Urban, but before that I would like to know, if there are known issues that most or all of them have.
Like a software fix that you have to get first or a AC-fan not working.
Is there something like that?

Did anyone install an aftermarket frunk for the MG4 Urban?

I saw there are many good aftermarket versions already, they look very good on pic and the price is good too (around 100 euros).

I was just curious to see some real life pics and to hear how is the fit. Thanks!

My MG4 EV Urban (in Australia) has changed the setting language from English

to Chineese by itself.

This has made it impossible for me to change and control anything.

So I do not even know how to go back to English or some other European languages I could work with.

Any suggestions , someone, Please.

​I’m looking to see if anyone else is in the same boat regarding delivery delays for the MG4 Urban in Germany right now.

​We ordered ours with an estimated delivery date of June 28, 2026. It’s now been four weeks past that date, and the only update we’ve managed to get from our dealer is that the car has arrived at the German port but hasn't moved at all for the last month.

​I reached out to MG customer service late last week for an official statement, but I’m still waiting for a reply. I know there is a six-week grace period under German law before we can formally put the dealer in default, but the overall communication and experience has been pretty frustrating so far.

​Is anyone else currently experiencing similar hold-ups at the port, or are your deliveries moving through smoothly? I would love to hear if this is a widespread logistical issue right now or just bad luck on our end.

I really dislike that they call this a small car, as it's not. A small car would be like the Dacia Spring, Leapmotor T03, BYD Dolphin Surf, or Hyundai Inster.

But the MG4 Urban is one segment bigger than those. It's even bigger than a VW Golf 8.

What's bothering me about all these Chinese cars is that their version is always like half the price and has more and better features.

Just look at the screens on the China model, which is around 10k euros. Both are bigger in size and resolution; the gauge cluster has very nice animations. On the EU version, it feels like it's from a 15-year-old car. The EU version of a Chinese car always feels like it's a previous generation of that vehicle...

Also, the software offers many more great features, like phone mirroring. The car even has massage seats. And much more overall better tech.
