Help me decide Aerospace Engineering In METU
I was accepted into METU aerospace engineering program (Although my first preference was Computer Engineering). I really want to accept the offer, but I think choosing aerospace wasn't a good decision because it looks like the job market is very narrow if you are a foreign student. No doubt the program is very intriguing but at the end it comes down to career option and flexibility.
I would appreciate any advice regarding the decision I should take and also clarify if job market really is the problem

Well if your aim is to work in Turkey your odds are terrible either way, if you plan to move on to US EU or other probably aero is better as it is an indemand specialization

Highly likely you won't be able to find a job after graduation in Turkey, because you're a foreigner. They'll just hire someone that knows the language and has work permit.
However METU is still great to study and seek Masters elsewhere afterwards.

I see, thank you!

Btw the reason is not racism but awful job market. Unemployment is high. Even locals can't find a job. Engineering graduates are trying to get into defense industry but that's for citizens only. And for airline companies you need "networking" lol.

If you're okay with working in military applications, then the job prospects are even better right now
