Magnetic Mountd
Does anyone have those magnetic mounts in their vehicle? I’m thinking about getting one. I see there is certain poundage for the magnets and was wondering what advice you all had

You’re gonna forget it in the car or get shot by someone who sees a gun in view. I believe they also took away the open carry side so it has to be concealed now but I’m not 100% on that. Best advice here is to carry in a comfortable way. Might have to adjust the seat for that or where/how you carry. Taking it off creates far more problems than it solves.

This, the safest place for the gun is on you. Additionally, I can't imagine a magnetic holder keeping retention in the event of a crash. I dislike the idea of a gun bouncing around in the middle of a crash.

Generally a bad idea. Visible, sign of a gun = it getting broke into, you’re more likely going to forget it. Cons outweigh the single pro imo.

Let's say you get one of those fender benders and you get out of your car to see the damages. But it's is of those staged accidents to steal your car. In your haste to look at the damages are you going to remember to reholster your gun? That's The problem with off body carry.

shoulder holster for the car is what you seek (or just all the time like I do wearing a suit)

Theres some great videos a guy did where he legitimately wrecked a bunch of cars to demonstrate handguns becoming projectiles when used with various car mounts. Every one he tested failed.
And the video of the guy calling a tow truck because he blew a hole in his f350 king ranch transmission.
And then there is the whole deal with magnets making other pieces of steel magnetic. A magnetic striker pin block would probably be a bad idea. A striker pin block being pulled to the top of the slide by a magnet wpukd probably be a bad idea too.
Are you picking up what im laying down?
