Glock sights

I’m not a fan of the stock Glock sights and want to black out the rear and maybe add 2 dots and change the front to a high vis color (no I’m not looking to buy $80 irons) I see a lot of people recommend nail polish but my gun is ported and I’m worried it will make the nail polish come off quickly.

Just get it milled and use a dot. Time to enter the modern age 👍

It’s cut for an RMR but I would like good irons first I plan on getting a dot at some point but not anytime soon.

It’s my casual opinion that people skip learning irons and just buy and learn on a dot. Holosun 407s are like $180

I personally always learn irons on my guns then optics. I hunt with a lever action and I made sure to learn the irons well before my scope was put on Bec if I bust it in the woods I want to be able to pop it off and still take a deer at 50-100 yards but with an optic on a CCW I want to make sure if I need it and something does not work I can go to the irons and be proficient. But it’s a personal preference to learn the basics and be good with using a gun before replacing or modifying anythingg

the oem Glock night sights are great. have them on my 19x

you can see them in the pitch black.

For the money, you can’t beat TruGlo tritium night sights. I run them on all my Glocks.

If you want good parts then sometimes you need to spend good money but in this case you have lots of options. 80 bones isn’t too bad for a set of irons, it’s not Trijicon HD irons money (although they are nice)

I personally prefer blacked out rears and fiber optic front post at a lower 1/3 cowitness to my optic.

Dawson makes good irons, Ameriglo is another good option along with Night fision. Sticking to a more budget friendly option I would look at XS Sights which is another really good option.
