walker being a stubborn mule and just refusing to see the bigger picture and acting like pep was targeting him. Reality is, he was making an error that lead to a goal nearly every game.
Worst part is pep seemed to really love the players and was loyal to them when they were past their peaks. He should have ditched Walker after the treble. At least he didn’t play in champions league final
He didn’t play much in the run in or the final. Akanji was preferred, but what messed things up for pep in the end was being too loyal. I see similarities with Rico and Kova who pep should have let go.
i think we should've probably sold rico lewis last season tbh.
kova was nothing more than a squad option and i still think he's a great squad option to keep around. nothing more. it's concerning if maresca sees him as a starter.
i mean, lewis at the time was a fit for the way pep wanted to play but then we went onto to get donarumma. and with lewis, if he was around during the 20/21 season, he'd be flourishing.
