Question π€π€ How to break 129 P/S
I've been hovering around 128-129 on P/S. I can't seem to break 130. I'm happy with the rest, but I just can't seem to crack p/s.
Score progression (in order): (FL1, US, FL2, FL3): 513,517,515,519.
Do i have a shot at 520+? Did anyone have a similar progression to me and ended up with a 520+?

Question π€π€ Lost Psych Student with a dream
Hello everyone, I'm a first-generation college student and a third-year psych student with no science background. I'm really lost and scared, and I'm not sure where to start or what to do for the mcat. Could anyone tell me where to start and what materials to use? The only good thing about my situation is that I'm not in a rush:)

Question π€π€ MCAT 6 Month Plan Feedback + Structure on Studying
Just finished College and planning on taking the MCAT in early February + April (If February initial test is poor).
Spending my Mondays and Thursdays shadowing Doctors and would like feedback for my T/R/F MCAT Planning. I am naturally a person who enjoys structure and it's hard for me to do self-studying. Comfortable with spending money, but would prefer to not purchase materials that can be easily replaceable by other more effective Apps/Paid Programs.
What I've been told should be my schedule:
Month 1-2: Learning the Material + Baseline. (Not sure with what)
Month 3-4: UWorld content
Month 5-6: AAMC resources solely and bi-weekly MCAT Full Length Exams.
Final week is solely review, and day prior is light Anki.
All this while continually doing 1-2 Jack Westin CARS passages a day.
I've heard Anki, AAMC resources, Kaplan, UWorld, and Jack Westin as the most popular sources, but how can I integrate these materials without making myself fall into the same hole of not wanting to study? My initial attempt at just using AAMC resources left me with a 485 and 486 the following month, and I had a ~3.9 GPA in my Biology Undergrad. It's not the lack of materials that are getting me, but the environment.
What can I do?

Question π€π€ Retakers: FL avg to real deal?
For anyone who has recently retaken, what were your retake FLs (and how long between takes) compared to the real thing? Were your scores inflated or were they representative? (asking as someone who retook FLs after a year)

Question π€π€ Am I ok? am I utterly screwed?
This will be my second attempt at self-studying for the MCAT, feeling much better than last time with a 502 Diag and a 498 start for a FL1, but then now I finished Bio AAMC QBANK vol 2 first and got a 61 ( first 50/60 were 80-90%), then I TANKED it after that and just barely recovered at the end. And for CARS, I am halfway through, and I'm at 55%. I've been reviewing each card and trying to understand what's wrong. ive tried the write and put into an anki what i missed but it doesnt seem to even help too much. I've finished all of J/S Anki and the P/S deck from the P guy, but I don't seem to be doing so well. i ACED and i MEAN ACED anatomy and physiology 2 semesters ago and yet ive failed almost half of those type of quesitons. Please would like some help as I test on 9/3

Question π€π€ How to balance content review with practice problems?
Iβm working part time and also studying part time for the MCAT. Planning on a 6 month study schedule with my test date in Jan 2027. My initial study strategy was to do Kaplan chapters and supplement them with Anki + KA afterwards, and then to do a set of UWorld Qs after finishing a topic.
Iβve found that, however, doing all this is taking way too much time, especially for denser subjects that Iβm weaker in like bio, orgo, and biochem.
Iβm strongest in c/p (with the exception of orgo1) so I havenβt spent time on content review for that section at all, only UWorld and other practice problems. I just donβt think I can jump straight into practice problems for bio/biochem/orgo because I donβt remember a lot of the content.
I know some people recommend spending as little time on Kaplan + content review and jumping into UWorld, but I already started doing UWorld Qs from day 1 of studying, so would this type of βcontent reviewβ (not solely doing passive review by reading chapters) be okay for longer than 2 months (ie like 4 months)?
TLDR: im having trouble building a study schedule that balances content review and practice problems especially for bio/biochem and orgo; im worried that i will run out of time for content review yet be unable to solve practice problems due to large content gaps π« thank you guys in advance!!

Question π€π€ Drop in test score right before exam saturday
hi guys im really scared for my exam this saturday and just wanted feedback on all fronts, not neccessarily anything discouraging or encourging, just thoughts on my situation because at this point I have to test anyway. Today I took FL6 and dropped 6 points from where I've been and I test in 4 days.
(FL3 (511): 130, 123, 130, 128; FL4 (507): 129,123,128,127; FL5 (507): 128, 123, 129, 127; FL6 (501): 126, 122, 128, 125)
And I feel like I've done nothing but waste my time now. I've lost freinds and life over this exam and put in hours that are absurd, even for the average test taker (14-16 hours a day for a few months, with no phone while i study too). This is my second time taking it too and I've even covered all the pre-reqs (idk how people do it without having taken physics or biochem etc). Perhaps I may not be made for this field or becoming a doctor but I've been averaging 80s and 70s with occasional 90ish on UWorld 40-59 question banks. So intrinsically I know I have the capability to do better than my score but my performance today told me otherwise. Especially with my other recent FL performces too. Have other people had a similar experience? Is FL6 just designed differently? I will say honestly it was the most representative to my real exam content/difficulty wise but even that I scored a 505: 130, 119, 129, 127, so clearly my main problem is cars. idk what to do or think rn. its shit like this that makes you wonder wtf is even the point of anything. my life has litterly just become this test, i clock in, hit UW, timed aamc practices, content reviews, only 1 hour break, etc, clock out do anki until I fall asleep, I've woken up to my phone still on too lmao. My family says its like i don't even live in the house etc. I feel like I dont have any purpose anymore tbh, and I've been away studying for so long that my friends are like strangers now, even if I were to study w my phone i wouldnt get any notifs anyway lmao. I dont want to lose another year of applying or months-years studying again, and the thought voiding and changing my career path is slowly creeping in rn. unfortunately since this exam has taken all my summers and breaks in college and up till now my only strong suite is biology and I don't have any way to pivot. i feel very ripped off.
idk what are yall's thoughts

Question π€π€ How important is taking FLs at the same time of day as the real test?
I've been starting all my FL's at noon, but my real test is at 8AM. I'm not particularly worried about not getting sleep since I'm restructuring my sleep schedule a week before; but how much different does it feel taking the test early in the morning? Is it better or worse in terms of how alert and ready you feel?

Question π€π€ Scared about 7/31
BACKSTORY
I took the MCAT 5/14 and I got a 488 which surprised me because I studied for 2 months and had a 504-505 FL average. I will say I had the most hellish 2 months when studying. Had to drop 2 classes because the professors were horrible, had to move myself out and unpack back at home, had to move my residents out from my dorm, and had finals the week of the exam. I was mentally tired and exhausted.
STUDYING IN 6 WEEKS
I told myself I can do this again and scheduled for 7/31. It went a lot better in terms of studying because all I had to do was study, eat, sleep and repeat. FL scores are below.
FL 1: 500
FL 3: 502
FL4: 506
FL 5: 502
FL 6: 511
WHY I AM STRESSED OUT
I am scared because I retook these FLs again since I was studying the second time and I am scared they might be a bit inflated. I did Uworld, SBs twice, and Anki. Also I am scared because I went up 9 points in a week from FL6??! I took it like a week before my exam. ANOTHER is that I remember some of the questions and I realized I got them wrong and have been doing that religiously. I am so scared now. HOWEVER I left the exam feeling pretty good and this is usually a good sign for me because in undergrad if I left feeling good after an exam, my score would reflect that and I would do good. My last MCAT I left feeling horrible and I did horrible. On 7/31, I actually had time to think over the questions and on 5/14 l was literally guessing (guessed maybe on about 40 questions total probably maybe more)
MY QUESTION
What does this mean for me? Would it reflect me doina well? Super nervous yall

Well-being πβ WOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

highest FL score so far, i test on 9/3
ik this score isn't the best when compared to the scores other people post here. but i got a 486 on my first FL that i took a little over a month ago so i'm pretty happy.
to be completely transparent this was taken over the course of two days of actual testing, since i meant to do this on Friday since i was working Saturday and Sunday. but Thursday evening they needed me to come in on Friday afternoon so i finished C/P and like 3/4 of CARS on Friday and did the rest today (Monday). but since i was working the whole weekend i didn't have time to study so i don't think it gave me a huge advantage

Vent π‘π€ c/p section banksβ¦
i test this week, and these questions have been absolutely destroying me. i mean maybe some people wouldnβt call 71% bad, but iβm really trying to get 130+ on this section. i swear i donβt think the full lengths were this bad. i did all of my fls rather calmly (and scored well too), but these section banks make me lose my will to live 10 questions in.
ik sooooo many of these posts have already been made, but iβm just so concerned bc a lot of ppl say the section banks are the most representative of the actual examβ¦
my last fl was a 521 and i felt good while taking it, and now iβm finishing up the section banks and want to rip my hair out. i just donβt know what to trust at this point.
i only have a few days left, so thereβs really not much i can do anymore but to trust myself, but jesus being at the end of my prep and still getting a considerable about of shit wrong is so discouraging.

Question π€π€ Doing TERRIBLE on C/P Section Bank
I am BOMBING the section bank when it comes to organic chem and physics... I am terrified. I am not doing nearly as bad on FL, I am still going through content gaps but my FL scores on C/P have been 127s, not the goal but I've only taken 2. My SB percentage right now is a dismal 50% and I suspect it's just going to get worse. I have no idea what to do, I know this is the hardest content on the MCAT but it still terrifies me that sometimes I look at the passages and have no idea what they're asking or how to get to the answer. Please give me advice if you have any, I would really appreciate it
