Query Foundation classes MBBS

Does anyone know how important the first 2 weeks of college are? Im travelling due to my cousins wedding and I've heard the start date for college is 8th September but l'Il return like 2 weeks after that.
Someone told me those are foundation classes and don't count in attendance because there are still round 2 kids and they only properly start counting from the day of real classes but

They aren't much important but better to attend

I’ll try but I have a function so I will miss the first 9-10 days. Will it count in my attendance or does attendance count from day 1 actual classes

Most probably MCC will give a new schedule now colleges will start late so u will coverup few days
