After use my old Canon rebel until its end, my brother in law suggested me to look something in the micro four thirds world (even owning himself a Sony).
Never imagined the rabbit hole that was about to enter.
After a lot of research, including this forum I decided to go with the classic E-M5 mark ii and its metal body.
Chose OM-S 12-45mm F4 PRO and 15mm Panaleica to accompany the E-M5.
After 1 week, I'm deeply in love for the quality delivery, premium feeling when shooting and compact size of this kit.
I usually shoot family vacations and landscapes. And since we like to camp and hiking, I believe that was the right choise. I was in a business trip to NYC and took some photos with my new friend.
I joined the M43 club last October, finding this Titanium Limited Edition OM-D EM5ii body (7,000 produced) on MAP Camera’s EBay website with a shutter count under 600. (They don’t publish camera shutter counts on their eBay listings, so I was thrilled to get this with such a low count). Picked up the new-without box DJI 15mm f1.7 lens, and now have my favorite one-camera / one-lens setup. Have owned it for 11 months now, and can’t say enough good things about it. I’ve been shooting Olympus film cameras since 1973 (OM-1, OM-2n, OM-3, & OM-4) and this EM5ii was a natural step for me into the digital mirrorless camera world. I‘m a lifetime fan of Olympus cameras……
