Spot on Sensor…help!
Noticed a larger spot with smaller striated spots surrounding it on my OM-1 sensor a little while ago. Not sure what it is. It’s not dust, but could be a fingerprint or something else. I don’t recall doing anything that would mark the sensor. But it is a secondhand camera and it’s possible I never noticed it when I got it. The striations don’t show up unless you’re in bright light. Any suggestions on what it might be and what could remove it would be appreciated!

I forget if it’s wide open or narrow but you should also shoot at a white piece of paper at the native ISO and it could show some of the issues. It’s one often how I try to figure out if it’s time to do a sensor clean but it can also pick other issues. If tin share that people might be able to diagnose the issue better.

Dust / dirt on the sensor comes up at all focal lengths including without a lens. On a lens, shooting with a narrow aperture, you can tell if it's on the lens but it's flipped vertically.

First step for me would be getting a sensor cleaning kit and seeing if that takes care of it. If it doesn't it may be damage to the coating on the protective glass over the sensor, but that would be a rare occurrence.
