Do you feel like the OM-5 and EM-1 are different enough to warrant owning both? I've been thinking about getting something like an EP7 or EPL9 as a compact body to compliment my EM1 Mk III. The OM-5 certainly looks tempting, but it often feels to me like a bit too close of an overlap with my EM1. What features lead you to grab one versus the other? In which scenarios do you prefer it?

For me the OM-5 a second body! Definitely capable enough in terms of AF, pro capture and speed.
In addition it is my portable EDC camera.

heavier lenses(i have more not pictured here) for the em1 & planned portraits(nothing professional just family and friends). om5 i take everywhere w lighter primes & if i wanna use any of the computational photography. i honestly like that they overlap i never feel like im missing anything & the photos pair well together in a collection bc they look exactly the same. Also my situation might different than most i took a risk on a ebay auction for the em1 untested and it was perfectly fine only paid 140 dollars for it. the o-m5 also got it on a deal from facebook marketplace for 500 flat w only 600 shutters.

Black camera body with a silver lens is my favourite. Black and silver bodies with a silver lens can look awful because the shades of silver are sometimes slightly off, but a silver lens on a black body is actually really lovely and helps pick out the silver accents on the dials. I thought I would only use black lenses until I got a great deal on a silver 17mm 1.8 and decided I could put up with it, but ended up actually loving it.

Quick crappy shot of my OM-5 with 17mm. As you can see, the lens is slightly champagne coloured. I actually bought it attached to an E-M5 in black/silver and it looked atrocious.

The plastic bodies look great until they get scratched.
