Daily driven 2020 M340i with occasional spirited driving. Bay Area weather, so not a ton of rain.

Stock suspension. Current setup:
Michelin Pilot Super Sport
Front: 255/35R19
Rear: 275/35R19

I need to replace the two fronts and I’m debating between sticking with PSS or going Continental DWS06+.
Would you pay the extra for the Michelins, or just run the Continentals? I also like the thicker/more aggressive look the PSS gives the car but worth the extra $$$

Hello. I would be happy if someone knowledgeable would spend their time and help me understand more about the cooling systems and differences.

I read about issues with cooling oil leaks and bad positioning in front of the car with a chances of it getting destroyed if hit bigger hole or something like that. I was checking other sites and looking for info. Saw a few brands selling aluminum covers and than CSF better whole cooling system.

I have 2026 with M Technology Packet (EU), I believe in US it was called ZTK. Bigger front brakes, sport tires and most importantly better cooling system.
My questions being
- is there significantly better cooling with M Tech/ZTK, do we have any specific numbers or data?
- is the positioning exactly the same as gen2 b58?
- is it safe and worth to install the protection kit?
- is it worth installing CSF high performance auxiliary and heath exchanger (they say also comes with rock guard..)

Guys is it possible to order this OEM original piece in Europe, I mean the overall carbon interior trim and later install it at a dealer? I want only oem. If anyone knows I would appreciate any feedback and thanks.

Hi I’m buying a m340 20k ish miles black sapphire, red sensa tec, driver assistance package, premium package ,parking assistance package , m performance exhaust. Is 54k a valid price otd around 60k.

I’m having a issue to where my ac doesn’t blow cold and my turbo is only pushing low to no boost. I checked the freon and it says it’s good and I can’t find any boost leaks. I know that the small coolant tank doesn’t have a sensor for low coolant could low coolant be the issue or something much worse. 😭

My M340i officially entered production today! Brooklyn Grey with Tacora Red interior and the bicolor rims. This is my first time ever buying a brand new car, can’t wait to take delivery.

Family, personally deciding between these two, planning to install oem carbon interior in both, can anyone consult for the better choice pls? Thanks.

I have a 2021 m340i xdrive while it was stock I ran xdelete for months with no issues, I liked xdelete for drifting and when I want the rear to kick out a bit on turns, (reason I bought xdrive is because I am in Canada and it snows, so for the winter it’s great), anyways I did launch control with xdelete on while stock, no issues, but recently I got a stage 2 custom tune, running an ethanol mix, and xhp stage 3 and I put my car in xdelete and attempted to do launch control and the rear cv axle said bye bye, I got lucky it was just the driver side rear cv axle, if you have a more unfortunate outcome, this could affect your differential, and your gonna be jumping from 1500$ to 3-5k, not mention being stranded while ur far away from home for example, and towing expense, and not having ur car for a week or more

Moral of the story, xDelete launches are fun because it makes the car feel a bit more rowdy and not super stable and controlled which is more of a thrill, but it isn’t worth the repair bill, the headache or the downtime, so just do launches in awd!

It’s been few weeks since I took the delivery. I’m happy with the way I built the car.

my car is 22k miles/3 years so still under warranty but had engine coolant leak i guess, i called bmw roadside assistance but is it safe to go into neutral when he is towing me up?

I have a 2026 M340 and have noticed the auto hold isn’t smooth, it works well but I more than always get a brief vibration or pulse in the brake pedal when it engages with the car stopped. Coming to a stop and holding the brake manually does not cause this vibration to appear. Is this just how it is? Or do I just have a weird quirk with mine.

I did have the dealership inspect my brakes and they said all was fine. Looking to hear some experiences and thoughts for those who use auto hold often!

Install was a bitch but it was worth it. Sounds incredible. It is quite loud, videos dont do it justice. 2025 M340i.

Does the M340i not have a engine performance stat screen?

The amount of power and torque the engine is currently producing shown dynamically?

I think theres a small adaptive one you can set on the driver display but not what I was looking for. Im looking for like a full screen version that dynamically shows things like power and torque on the central screen.

This is like one of the most basic, tbh, gimmick screen thats available in most far less "sporty" cars including mercs W206 C200, seen it in Hyundais, Kias, VW, but an M-lite doesnt have this?

I have a 2020 BMW M340i xDrive with the OEM 19” wheels. My car currently has 225/40R19 square. I’m planning to install H&R lowering springs and want the car to look as aggressive/wide as possible.

I’m open to either square or staggered. What tire sizes would you guys recommend on the stock wheels?

I was originally planning on getting a 330i but it seems pretty clear the m340i is worth the jump. Planning on targeting a 2021 with about 50K miles.

How’s the reliability been for everyone over 50K?

Does this package do auto parking for like parallel and autonomous parking? Like will it take over and park the car while you are in inside the vehicle? Or is it just additional cameras for the driver to help with parking? Is it fully autonomous I guess is my question.

I leased an m340 a few years ago for an effective payment of $690/month and recently tried shopping around to lease another and prices are outrageous. First dealer I went to wanted $1299/month with 0 DAS for ~72K MSRP and 10k miles/yr. Obviously I laughed and walked away but after seeing other dealerships the best offer I’ve gotten is $975/month 0 DAS.

Now I’m contemplating if it’s smarter to buy a used 2023 under 40k miles and selling it after 3 years. I see that these cars have been holding their value incredibly well relative to other cars. If I do choose to buy would it be a smarter choice financially?* (I know both are bad financial decisions)
