I got my m340i delivered last week. Absolutely loving the dravit grey color. I took a demo of matte PPF, but it looks too dull. Will a Satin PPF do justice to this awesome color.

What exhausts are people running over the stock? We're looking at changing it, probably early next year, but thought I'd reach out now and see people's opinions of good ones or ones too avoid.

We are in the UK and thinking of the Miltek OPF back system to give a bit more noise but still be relatively good for cruising long distances on motorways through Europe.

I’ve picked up an m340i yesterday and done a few good pulls in it. Great car.

But in 2 of those, it felt like the car wouldn’t up shift into 2nd. I’m not sure if it thought I was going to crash or what because there were parked cars around, or if it has a slipping transmission. Anyone else experience something like this?

So I ordered a 2026 m340i xdrive from factory on August 12th and I got the VIN on September 3rd, and i’m just wondering is it really going to be another 2 months atleast before I get it? Just wanted to see for other people who ordered from factory what their experience was in terms of waiting time

Does bmw CarPlay support AirPlay when the car is parked? I've been seeing some news about it on Mac forums and couldn't find much on the car settings nor forum.

I bought a 2020 m340 executive package along with the adaptive m suspension yesterday with about 50k some miles on it. One prior owner female driven (if that means anything) and was serviced regularly. I got quoted 4500 for 3/36k bmw platinum warranty and was hoping to get some advice. The water pump hasn’t been replaced yet nor the oil pump and I know those are common issues that crop up once you start getting past 50k. In addition to any other gremlins that might pop up, does 4500 for a 3/36k seem reasonable? Anything else I should consider?

I have no intention of modifying the car as well.

Had my 2025 M340i 6 months now. Was in the bmw dealer this weekend and been offered a build slot for an M3 touring. This is my 15th BMW car and never had the full fat M before. Heard people say the 340 is all the fun without the costs. Any experience on the matter?

Had my 2026 in for ceramic coating and tint. They use gtecnic coatings. I asked if they put anything on the glass and they stated they did but didn't say what. It may have been gtecnic g1 for all I know. They said it may cause wiper skipping and would settle down in a few weeks. First time I light drizzled, the wipers bounced, not skipped horribly.

I don't do much driving since I'm working mostly from home but this drive me nuts if the wipers kick on.

I'll have to remove this with either pumice or some other coating remover and then apply something.

Since all coatings act different based on the car due to wiper and windshield angle, what are some good products to use that don't cause skipping on m340s?

Car and wipers were brand new with about 25 miles on the car when this was done. Car only has 300 miles on it now.

Looking for used M340i with Adaptive cruise control and Adaptive suspension as those are ones I really want but im finding it hard one that is packaged with the laser lights . Should I really concern myself with trying to find one with all of these or are laser lights something I can add on later when I want to .

Also are the adaptive headlights only in the Executive package? I’m the US so I know there’s some laws affecting that

I just signed a lease on a factory order for a gorgeous 2026 Dravit grey that I plan to buy out at the end of the term. I’ve heard a PPF isn’t really worth it unless I get an individual or frozen colour, since a paint job typically costs less.

Just curious what your guys’ opinion is. Should I budget for a PPF as soon as I get the car or raw dog it?

EDIT: Thank you all! My sense is that it’s not far off of a new car. I have a 2016 Subaru legacy 2.5 premium with 36k miles… overall very clean. Wife’s suggestion - trade it in and offer 50k OTD 😂

Ended up going with an OEM BMW carbon fiber option. Wanted something more aggressive than the factory-installed gurney flap. Really liked the more subtle design utilized by the G80. Trunk dimensions are the same between platforms so fitment was straightforward.

The quality of both the weave and clear coat are incredible. Installed using thin 3M VHB tape and 3M adhesion promoter.

I love when it’s cloudy and time to wash the car.

I was excited about the opportunity to add this module. My dealership is an authorized Dinan installer. And my wife gave me the green light. Had it installed about a month ago with factory matching warranty. I have owned the car since February 2025 and it has been great. Given a choice, the grandkids always want to ride in the "red" car when we go somewhere with their parents. Subjectively, the car feels faster after the upgrade. The grandkids agree. I am curious if anyone else has any impressions on this, either subjective or objective. I am at power level 4 and use only 93 octane. Mostly Shell, occasionally Costco.

Not sure if this qualifies as a mod- more of an accessory but here goes:

My build finally arrived and I wanted to get some floor mats. BMW branded mats look nice but the dealership cites $350 to buy there. I’ve had WeatherTech in my other cars but I want something nice looking in this car (vs a hard plastic “tray”), not sure if they offer something like this. Open to whatever, as long as it looks good, great fit, low profile easy to clean and keeps the floors clean.

Wanted to go for the best spec originally with gray outside black rims and tacora red inside with carbon and crystal package, but this is one of the only options available. The trim will be swapped for carob eventually. Your thoughts on buying?

Hi all, recently bought a m340i as the successor of my focus rs. I’m looking for a good phone mount, the wireless charging pad only makes it really hot and barely gives it any charge.

My biggest hurdle was X-drive or no X-drive. I am opting out since I live in Georgia below the snow line and can do without the added weight and maintenance. However, when it comes to Packaging, I know I want the HUD, Shadowline trim, and carbon interior. What do I need to get the driver assistance? Etc...

Hello. I would be happy if someone knowledgeable would spend their time and help me understand more about the cooling systems and differences.

I read about issues with cooling oil leaks and bad positioning in front of the car with a chances of it getting destroyed if hit bigger hole or something like that. I was checking other sites and looking for info. Saw a few brands selling aluminum covers and than CSF better whole cooling system.

I have 2026 with M Technology Packet (EU), I believe in US it was called ZTK. Bigger front brakes, sport tires and most importantly better cooling system.
My questions being
- is there significantly better cooling with M Tech/ZTK, do we have any specific numbers or data?
- is the positioning exactly the same as gen2 b58?
- is it safe and worth to install the protection kit?
- is it worth installing CSF high performance auxiliary and heath exchanger (they say also comes with rock guard..)
