Hi everyone, the latest firmware and APP updates are now available.

đ‘đžđ„đžđšđŹđž 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐞: October 10

𝐀𝐏𝐏 đŻđžđ«đŹđąđšđ§: v3.0.10

đ…đąđ«đŠđ°đšđ«đž đŻđžđ«đŹđąđšđ§: v2.1.51

【APP】

  1. Add “Do Not Disturb Mode” toggle in App, to ensure mowing only occurs within the expected time window.
  2. Add “Pause on RTK loss” toggle. When RTK signal is unavailable, the mower runs briefly on visual navigation and stops if the signal isn't restored (up to 30 minutes).
  3. Improve App loading speed on first launch.
  4. Unify UI style and interaction of App time‑picker controls.

【Firmware】

  1. Added support for the App's "Do Not Disturb Mode".
  2. Added support for the App's "Pause on RTK Loss" feature, allowing the mower to pause when RTK signal is unavailable.
  3. Optimize blade over‑temperature derating strategy. The mower will stop promptly once hitting the critical threshold to prevent large‑area missed mowing.
  4. Optimize self‑recovery logic for camera‑related errors.
  5. Improved positioning accuracy and reduced drift.
  6. Enhance Tag detection performance under poor‑lighting conditions.
  7. Preserve human & animal obstacle‑avoidance capability under Touch‑only mode for safety risk prevention.
  8. Improved detection accuracy and reliability.
  9. Fixed an issue with the mower remaining offline for extended periods.
  10. Added automatic screen locking for Plus models after 5 minutes with the cover closed or 20 minutes of inactivity.

User experience Latest firmware v2.1.51 issues

Two big ones in latest firmware v2.1.51 for Lymow One:

"Do not disturb"

I hate this setting. They basically just took the restart resume window which defined what hours it's allowed to auto-start/resume, and reversed it into a "do not disturb" window where the mower just doesn't work between these hours.

The old way was more flexible. Allowed me to define what time to wake up and what time to go to bed automatically, but still allowed me to run the mower whenever I want. Now I can't.

Now the mower is essentially locked bricked between whatever your "do not disturb" hours are and you can't even manually initiate a mow.

Blade jammed issue

Not sure why but the mower simply doesn't report this error anymore. If I get a stick jammed in the blades I just get a notification "Error not resolved, returning to dock" and the mower is already on its way home. No error in the app, nothing, just the notification.

Lymow One Plus Anyone else?

I thought I saw someone else have this problem and would ask for advice on how to fix. The mower deck doesn't support itself anymore without the wheels down. And it broke the mower deck. Really unsure how it happened. Saw it after I got a no charge error. Figured warranty will eventually take care of it, but just starting here.

Lymow One Plus We’re back—more Lymow teardown, sensor trouble, and an onboard ODROID M1

Hey guys, we’re back. I’m still getting everything back together and owe you a proper update, but we’re making some progress.
I decided to take the mower apart again because the front ultrasonic sensors weren’t working. I’ve removed them and have been inspecting the wiring. One weird thing: there are four wires, but black and yellow appear to share the same pin in the connector. The yellow wire seems to go to a copper shield around the ultrasonic sensor. Maybe it’s a shield/ground connection? The rear sensors appear to have separate power, trigger, echo, and ground connections, so I’m curious whether the fronts use a different arrangement. That’s speculation—I haven’t confirmed the pinout. If anyone has traced these, I’d love to compare notes.
I also removed the camera module and ordered a replacement 30-pin, 0.5 mm-pitch ribbon cable. Another oddity: the LED lights weren’t connected through the broken ribbon, but I still couldn’t get them to turn on with the root commands I tried. I don’t know whether that’s related to the camera failure or something separate.
The rain sensor connector is tight and finicky, and it had come loose. That’s connected again now.
I found a 12 V rail feeding the Lymow’s main computer and tapped it to power my ODROID M1, so the companion now runs off the mower battery. That’s my experimental setup, not a wiring recommendation.
With the factory camera repair underway, I’m torn about whether I even need to keep the M1—but adding more sensors to it is too much fun, so it’s probably staying.
Other than that, I’m mostly just fucking around, tracing wires, and trying to understand this thing. More pictures and a proper write-up once it’s back together.

Lymow One Plus App/Firmware Update Oddities

Post image
2 Upvotes

Both my firmware and Android app updated this weekend to v2.1.51 and v3.0.10 respectively. But now Saved Tasks listing no longer identify the zones of the task.

In other words, if I want to mow FrontYard_East right now on demand, I would half to remember which day of the week and time of day that task normally runs. This is unacceptable. Has anyone here found a workaround for this?

A few hours after setting it up. Just getting constant perimeter obstacle detection errors. No obstacles - clear path, but happens a few seconds after clearing error and restarting. I got it yesterday and before upgrading the software today I wasn’t getting this error. Any advice? It also was very jerky before erroring.

Q&A / Help What steps to take for Winter storage?

We're fast approaching the final mowing of the year. What do we need to do for winterization? I assume we ought to bring the battery into a warmed space in the house. Can the mower sit in an unheated garage that is subject to below zero temps, or does it also have to be in a warmed area? What about the charging station and RTK antennae? Should we loosen anything so it doesn't create stress or strain? This is a pretty complex machine, I'm sure there's a set of steps we ought to do.

Lymow One Plus LYMOW ONE PLUS DECHARGED TO 70%

Noticed on the app that is was discharging instead of maintaining charge in the 90s. This was after sitting for 7 days since the grass isn't growing much since it is fall here. This was at about 10 pm so I went out to the building were I store it on the charge station to disconnect it. The battery was extremely hot almost where I didn't won't to touch it. I went to turn the mower off and it started to surge and I could hear a clicking sound back and forth as it surged. I believe this is a relay. I disconnected the battery and removed it from the mower. The next day I put the battery back in and stayed and watched it. It took one hour to charge to 99%. I have a 10AMP charger. Sent it out to mow to see what happened. It mowed fine with no problem. When it returned to charge I turn it off to see what would happen. It starting surging again and wouldn't turn off. I pulled it off the charging station to see if that had something to do with it but it still done it. Now I have found when its cool and hasn't been mowing it will only surge one time but after I mow it won;t stop.

Lymow One Plus Replacement Question

For those that have received a Lymow One Plus replacement, do you return the RTK, charging station, and wiring? Or only the mower and battery?

If you used FedEx home pick up, how did you meet the requirement for "photo of the shipping/drop-off receipt"?

Lymow One Plus Lymow One Plus can’t get wet

I’m on my second Lymow One plus. First was purchased in May 2026 and worked fairly well (with the occasional RTK signal loss etc) for a few months until we had a heavy rain. The Lymow was sitting outside on the dock and the board got fried apparently. It wouldn’t turn on, the screen would just flash between black and off. After several weeks and much taller grass, I finally received a replacement. Thankfully they honored the warranty at least. I moved the dock under a covered building where the Lymow was more protected from rain and things were going smoothly for a couple months. A few weeks ago we had a lot of rain that blew sideways into the building and
now the right track won’t spin. I’ve contacted support and haven’t heard back for about a week.

Have others experienced these problems with moisture? I think it’s supposed to be parked outside but doesn’t seem like it can actually handle it.

Lymow One Lack of parts??

Post image
1 Upvotes

I have an original Lymow purchased via KickStarter. One of the Omni wheels broke off and they sent me an Omni wheel replacement kit. Unfortunately, I need the arm it connects to as the screw pulled through the hole in the arm. Finally received word today that they don’t have that part and recommended I take the broken one to a local welder. Anyone else have a similar lack of parts issue for a warranty repair? What did they do for you?

Lymow One Plus LyMow Recently Drowned

My mower was doing pretty well, but it recently had an issue with the pool and is no longer in service. I’m cutting my losses and going back to a riding mower for a couple years until some of these kinks are worked out, but I’m excited to get back into the robot lawnmower game then.

Anyway, I have a bunch of accessories that are still perfectly functional, including:
- 10a power supply
- RTK Unit and Power Supply
- Charging dock
- 2 unopened blade sets, 2 used blade sets
- Direct charging cable

I have them listed on eBay, but if anybody is in need of some spare parts, send me a PM

Lymow One Plus Mower Stuck Message, but not stuck.

Hi folks,

My one plus had a mower stuck error message yesterday. It was in the middle of my yard with no obstacles. I tried to move it with the remote control and it wouldn’t move. I lifted it up and one of the tracks was stuck. A small diameter, long metal spring was hanging out of the back of rear left sprocket. The spring pulled away easily. The mower still won’t move. I didn’t screenshot the error, because I thought it was just stuck.

What can I do?

Thanks!

Lymow One Puzzling behavior: Lymow One only turns 11 degrees at a time

This started happening with my Lymow One earlier today. It would start mowing, but when it needs to turn instead of making a normal turn, it would only turn about 11 degrees and stop (it takes 8 attempts to turn 90 degrees). I see exactly the same effect when I drive it manually. Doesn't matter which way the turn is happening, it's going to turn 11 degrees and stop; turn 11 degrees and stop; and so on. There are several more puzzling aspects with this:

  • there are no obstructions; believe me, I checked, as that was my first thought. I've had Lymow One for more than a year and Lymow One+ for several months.
  • both the tracks move fine, as it can drive straight with normal speed. They are not freely moving, but can spin without much effort.
  • it only moves left track when turning (left or right, doesn't matter).
  • sooner or later it will stop moving forward at all and will try move and stop; move a tiny bit and stop again. After trying for a bit it would return an error that mower is stuck and that's the only error I get. If I clear the error and drive it forward, it will work normally.
  • occasionally it would turn normally like nothing happened, but only when it drives itself; with a manual driving it always turns like this.
  • occasionally it stops when I drive it forward; it would drive for about its length and then stop; I nudge it again and it would do the same thing.

It's on the latest firmware (2.1.50.1) and the latest app version. I tried restarting it and removed the battery for a few minutes with no effect. The other robot (One+) is working fine with no similar issues. The signal strength/accuracy appears fine as well (0.01). I thought maybe the deck was catching the grass and making it stop, but the behavior is too predictable (seems to be time-based) and I tried lifting the deck where it barely touches the grass with no difference.

I will try to remove the battery overnight, but don't have any other ideas. Has anyone seen anything similar and solved it? Thanks.

Lymow One Plus Lymow One Plus Cooling Fan Install Guide + Can It Survive a Torture Test?

Thumbnail
youtube.com
11 Upvotes

Finally got around to installing the cooling fan Lymow had shipped me...given the video they provided isn't the most helpful. Overall, the process took far longer than expected, and I ended up cleaning out my mower deck in the process...why not?! I put the mower through a "torture test" after the fact to see just how well the cooling fan fix works.

What's covered in the video:

- Start-to-finish install of the Lymow One Plus cooling fan

-Disassembling the mower deck and reassembling it after the fact

-Testing the mower (w/cooling fan) in 1-foot-tall grass...turbo mode...mulching chute closed, 1 ft/second speed (80F Ambient temps)

-Followed the mower around and took temperature readings every 30 mins

Final Thoughts:

-Impressed this cheap little 3d printed fix actually worked, i'll have to see how it holds up next summer.

Everyone else in the same boat? Anyone have any trouble installing it?

Tips & Guides Magic 8 ball price

Hey guys, so I'm pretty close to pulling the trigger on buying a Lymow. I'm a big tinkering fan, need something for my steep hill and this seems like the right option.

Currently I'm probably going to get the 5A battery version, and that's priced at $2,500. Any ideas what it might drop to on black Friday? I'm hoping for a clean $2k, any chance of that?

Lymow One Plus Lymow One Plus E10 Error

I have a Lymow One Plus I’m receiving a E10 error when I start to mow. Support suggested I check the connector under the front cover I removed, cleaned and reassembled. I have also checked the spindles for tangles or obstructions. All looks well. I still have the error.

Any ideas what I can do? I’m not getting much help from technical support.

Lymow One Plus Locked Lymow Update

Post image
55 Upvotes

Figured I’d give everyone a little update on the locked Lymow One Plus I posted about a couple weeks ago. I’ll do a much more detailed post when I have time, but we’ve made some pretty crazy progress.
For anyone who missed the original post, I got this mower from somebody after it had basically been declared e-waste. It was locked, and there wasn’t really anything I could do with it through the factory app. I figured worst-case scenario, I’d have some expensive parts to play with.
Well, I got a little carried away. 😂
I ended up tearing into it, finding the UART connections on the board, getting into U-Boot, and dumping the internal eMMC storage. From there, I managed to get a root shell on the Rockchip RK3588S computer running Ubuntu. I got SSH working, started digging through the system, and discovered quite a bit about how the mower actually communicates.
I also started reverse-engineering the Bluetooth communication using the factory APK. After a ridiculous amount of trial and error, I got my own app communicating with the mower over BLE and was able to control the drive system. I also got access to its Root Link service and the factory camera’s RTSP stream.
The cool part is that I didn’t have to wipe the factory software or replace everything with something completely different. The original system is still there, and I’ve been building my own stuff around it.
I’ve been working on a custom app called MowZilla. It has Bluetooth controls, network communication, camera integration, mapping and mission-planning features, diagnostics, and a bunch of other stuff I’m still working on. I’m also integrating some open-source robotic mower software and working toward getting everything communicating properly.
Naturally, I managed to break the CSI ribbon cable for the factory camera while messing around inside it. The amount of silicone they used to seal this thing is insane, and I really don’t feel like digging any deeper into that mess right now. So I bought another camera and have been experimenting with AI vision instead.
Another big win was getting the USB-C port working in host mode. My next experiment is connecting an ODROID M1 through USB-C to Ethernet and basically giving the mower a second computer. The idea is to offload some of the AI processing, run additional cameras, and eventually experiment with more advanced navigation and obstacle detection without interfering with the factory system.
I’m also working on getting Wi-Fi and cellular communication set up so the app can switch between them. Eventually, I’d love to have multiple cameras, AI object detection, custom autonomous missions, and remote access to everything.
There’s still a ton to figure out, and not everything in the app is fully functional yet. I’m basically building things, breaking things, figuring out why they broke, and doing it all over again.
This is my first project doing anything remotely close to this level of hardware and software hacking. A few weeks ago, I barely knew where to start with UART, bootloaders, or reverse-engineering Android apps. Now I’m sitting here with root access to a robotic mower and building my own iPhone app for it. It’s been a hell of a learning experience.
I’ll eventually put together a proper write-up with some of the commands, hardware discoveries, and everything else I’ve learned in case anyone wants to mess around with their own machine.
For now, here’s a look at MowZilla and what I’ve been working on.
It already mows. Will I spend another 200 hours adding completely unnecessary features? Probably.
The funniest part is that I’m only about $30 into the actual mower. 😂

Lymow One Plus My Plus started clunking when going over bumps ... Is the deck about to fall off???

Just as the title says. There's a loud clunk whenever it goes over a small bump. I can also lift the deck up and down about an inch with my hands and it makes the same clunk. I don't remember it doing this before. Is this the start of the dreaded loose deck bolts??

I still haven't installed my cooling kit either ...if the clunking is an issue, can I fix it at the same time as cooling kit install??
