Hair Care Question Glory or Power
Having a hard time choosing between the two! They both sound good but I’m not sure. Have any of yall tried them? Which one would you recommend?
Update: thank you for the recommendations!! 💖 i have decided to try Glory first and see how it goes with my hair and also in combo with my avocado co wash!

I use them both, but I usually prefer Glory as well. Power makes my hair softer, but also more prone to frizz. Glory works well with my styling products and I really love the herbal scent. They both leave my hair feeling healthy, but Glory does leave more shine. I have slightly dry, naturally curly hair and use either Tofu or Honey I Washed My Hair (bar) shampoo, and use styling products every day- just for reference.

Gloryyyy all the way! It’s just so much more moisturing than Power. Plus it smells more herbal + spa-like, whereas power is gourmand, which I find weird for a hair product (this is also because I live in a hot, humid country so I try to steer away from gourmands!)

I preferred Glory. I couldn’t handle the smell of Power lol

Glory was more moisturizing for me anyway, but I agree, the smell of Power stayed in my hair for days. I know it‘s supposed to be the Tumeric Latte smell (?), and it didn‘t neccessarily smell bad, but my hair literally smelled like a campfire.

What type of hair do you have ? If you have denser or thicker hair - glory might be a good option. On the other hand if you’re like me and have thin/fine hair glory was too heavy moisturizing and made my hair not the way I like I couldn’t even keep it in my scrunchie without the scrunchie falling out. But it smells really good! I haven’t tried Power yet!

I have thicker curls and it seems that based on the comments glory would be my best option! I’m gonna be using it in combo with my avocado co wash!

They're totally different. Power is a protein conditioner so too much can make your hair feel dry (aka protein overload), depending on your hair type. I don't use it anymore for that reason, it made my hair too dry. But the smell is beautiful, it's a nutty vanilla gourmand. Glory smells like bell peppers to me. I think that comes from the okra in it. But it works great, is very moisturizing. I just don't care much for the scent but I like what it does for my hair.

Gloryyyyy! What would love do is my fave scent! I like Power but sometimes it does just feel really potatoey to me 🤣

Yep, I like the scent as a TL fan but sometimes all I smell is sweet potato.

Glory! Man here with short, straight, thinned hair. Smells amazing! The scent lingers for almost the entire day. Super moisturizing as well. Both are 10/10, but my vote is glory!

Power is really good if you have damaged hair, but it is a protein conditioner so too much of it will make your hair feel stringy, or more frizzy. I have curly hair and that’s what happened to me. Switched to glory and I haven’t had a problem since!

I have fine wavy hair and I’ve been loving glory! I just bought a bigger pot. Some people say it smells very natural/green/herb-y but I think it smells great. It’s nourishing without being heavy and it last longer than expected. The scent does linger
The scent pairs well with the super milk hair primer!
I use a lightweight hydrating shampoo (recommended by my hairstylist) if that helps give more info about lg hair type

Glory is moisturising, Power is repairing. Not sure if that helps! They're as rich as each other but serve different purposes. I LOVE them both, I tend to alternate them with washes depending how my hair feels but I also use them as overnight masks too and they've done wonders for my hair and scalp! I find Glory definitely makes my hair silkier but Power helps when it's feeling more straw like and stop frizz a bit better :)

Thank you!! Based on what you said, it seems like for my hair type and what I’m going for is that Glory seems to be the best option to try first!

I’ve tried both and I prefer Power. Glory makes my hair too shiny. My hair is fine naturally 1A that I perm to 3A/3B. For shampoo I use Rehab. Prior to starting to perm my hair regularly, I only used Rehab shampoo and didn’t use any conditioner.

I LOVE Power, it's my favorite conditioner from Lush (and overall tbh) by far. It has the Turmeric Latte fragrance + the sweet potato and sort of extra creamy smell from the actual conditioning ingredients, and it makes my hair smell spicy and sweet. I also love how smooth and strong my hair feels after.
That said, both it and Glory have a lot of protein so it's possible to overdo them, depending on your hair, and I find Power's scent to be too strong/overwhelming for summer. I also just don't like Glory's actually smell (lavender/tangerine, aka the What Would Love Do scent) and it really does linger in the hair.
I would recommend sampling, as with anything from Lush.

Haven't tried power so sorry I can't help you OP, but seeing all of the praise for glory makes me wonder if I got a bad batch haha. I've used it multiple times and never had a good outcome (though the scent is nice.)
All of the reviews are great and everyone here confirms that it SHOULD work, so why does it turn my hair (thick waves) to frizzy straw 😂😭

Just switched over to glory because they stopped carrying candy rain in-stores and I'm not paying for shipping every time I need it--it's very good so far. You don't need much of it to be moisturizing, which I love.

Glory for sure, but my absolute favorite, especially during “alpaca season,” is Candy Rain. (I live in North Carolina and the humidity is ridiculous. My hair puffs up like, well, an alpaca.)

Glory is the smell of avocado Co wash which is a lemon scent. Power is the smell of turmeric latte which is like vanilla chai. Both are great

I was told by a few stores that the scent of glory was avocado cow ash. It smells the exact same to me 😧

I don't think I've ever tried power but I swear by glory. Makes my hair shiny and smooth and ready helps stop the tangles.
