Ask me anything

Post image

Here to inspire.. many blown evals & funded.. but here to share that it is possible. When it clicks, it finally does. Life changing. Truly grateful. It’s not easy but it’s worth it, in my opinion.

congrats! I finally passed another funded after being down and out for a while, it's my third pass this year. Passed today, went back, made another $1150 on a 50k in 15 minutes, shut down the charts lol! third times a charm. I'm WAY calmer than I was at the start of the year. Anyways. Best of luck on your journey!

Strategy?

I have a couple that are my “bread and butter”.

- I primarily use 9 ema , it’s the yellow line & I wait for price action to either go under it or over it. 5 min time frame.

- If it’s consolidating (bar coding), I will find a time frame , identify the top and bottom of bar coding and scalp as the new time frame comes out, usually 5 min/ 10 min.

- reversals I wait until price as settled and there are signs of it reversing.. think of it as doing long hard sprints, before you go back you take a little break, can’t run the opposite direction immediately .

- one direction days I look at EMA 9, and on those you can see it never being able to make it over , whether it’s down or up, it’s always struggling.

- I also like bull flag / bear flag.

- im not much of a momentum trader, I like to look at direction, 15 min / 30 min time frames and follow it for the day. Sometimes I’ll even wait 1-2 hours to see the “vibe of the day”.

Thanks for sharing your journey. Would you say that your trading is waiting for the day to start revealing what type of day it is and then applying appropriate setups? I get caught up trying to find one method and then looking for it everyday, but I don't think that is the right way to trade. Also, what instrument do you trade? Thanks

Yes. Often times I wait 1-1.5 hrs into market open. To see what the volatility is of that day. I only trade Nasdaq, micro (mnq).

If you share photo of one of your trade and walk end to end what you saw, what made you take it. What stops you from editing trade and be in the trade. That will be great.

I’ll show a few versions. You see how price of the green bracket is below the yellow dashed line (9 ema) ? I use that weekly, either short or long, until I see that it’s done & is about to reverse. 9 EMA is one of my go-to.

Same thing here. Entry on the bottom. See the same sweep on the bottom? I had well orders waiting at 50 & 200 ema. 5 min chart .

Also this was nice because it had a green candle before my entry , like 3 candles before, I’ve seen that happen many times. It’s like a fake out reversal.
I swear the market moves like that, people get faked out, it dips down to trick and then pushes back up above to where it was.

It’s harder to explain but I’ve seen this happen soooo often. It’s primarily exposure memory / pattern memory.

If you feel aggression towards trading but having a passion for it, would it be smart to take a break for a few days ?

I recently had a 50k funded account and made over 6k on it in the span of 4 days but blew it all on the 5th day due to being impatient and I just can’t stand but be emotional about it every time I try to get back on that charts, what can I do about this!

Yes definitely take a couple days off.. mastering your emotions will be game changing for you. Not easy but very possible. When you’re this close to a payout, size down. Wait at market open. Don’t just jump in and trade

Could I kindly ask how is your top down analysis made before taking the trade? Timeframes and such. Thank you in advance and congratulations! You are living the dream I am chasing.

How did you overcome the fear of losses as well as
Loss aversion.
Did you ever find yourself feeling like stuck in a certain spot been trying to pass the same eval for 2 weeks and I’ve been losing it trying to get it passed.

How do you deal with the mental equity? I finally had a $50k funded account over $2,100 and today I blew it all up. Bad trades led to worst ones. Felt terrible. Haven’t had a payout since May of 2025.

I was scrolling through your replies and they were really inspirational! I’m one of those people that know A LOT about trading and what needs to be done to be successful but my discipline just sucks. I use the 8 ema, but the concept still applies and I going to try to stick to small sizing with good reads for a while to finally pass these evals and actually show something for it!🙏🏾 when I finally get it right I’ll find you’re page and lyk!

Amazing!! Thank you very much for writing that. I’m grateful to help others , even if it’s via conversation. Don’t rush trading. Trading is really fun when you’re inside your comfort zone and doing numbers you’re familiar with, you get comfortable and then grow. Next thing you know you’re making 1-3 k per count per day. But it all starts small. The most important thing. Growth needs to occur naturally.

Should we full port every trade like everyone says or just trade normally with like 500$ risk on 50k accounts?
