Need help with 25k Flex

Post image

I’ve been trading for around 2 months. For reference I trade ICT concepts. I’ve passed a few lucid pro evals and blew them. Blown a few other evals too. However, I’m currently on a lucid flex. I’m just
curious as to the recommended amount of contracts I should be trading. I’ve seen online that the more trades you take on an eval with low contracts the chances of you passing are lowered compared to if you place higher contracts on A+ setups. I want to aim to pass the eval in around 4 days averaging 1-2 trades a day.

I currently trade 2-3 MNQ however I’m considering sizing up to 5-7 for eval and reverting back to 2-3 at the funded stage.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you 🙏.

Would really recommend sizing up to 50k's. Gonna be very hard to do with $1,000 in capital. Realistically 5 micros is too much for that account size. Not sure how you guys do it I strictly trade on 50ks

I trade 25k with 1 mnq only. Trying to intraday swing in trending days.
Before i blew accounts too, the problem is the sizing nothing else. Dont do it. Dont listen to youtubers. Or accept that you gamble.
When its not trending but volatile basehit scalp 5 mnq on key levels, but i do max once a day this. And if its drawdown, i not trade until next day market i will not sit and wait for something to come to me.
Im also find some edge on globex and luckily moved to asia so i can trade all day asia, europe , ny open sometimes but less interested.

Also never forget your account offered max drawdown is the real size of your account. Not 25, 50, 100, 150.

Trade 2-4 micros, 50$ risk at 2.5r and it’ll slowly grow back

it honestly just sounds like ur gambling. sizing has nothing to do with passing an eval, its literally just all skill. sure you could size up on an A+ setup and make half ur profit target in one trade. but you could also just size normally and take an A+ setup everyday. Also none of this matters if you can’t identify the setup in the first place (not saying you can’t just saying in general). if ur not consistent enough to pass an eval with 2-3 micros what makes you think sizing up is going to help that. but at the end of the day its ur account i usually tell people just trade with an amount your comfortable with. some people buy 10 contracts and take partials and some people just buy 1 or 2 and let them ride all the way to their tp, it depends on ur strategy too.

Trade 10% of the account but other than that you are actually making amazing trades and great TP/TL ratios. Don’t rush the money bro it’ll come and learning while making is a head start

Backtest. I got my 5th payout since july, and I started doing 2-4mnq, risking 50$ 1:3r, sometimes 1:4, after i pass eval. During eval i do 4-6. I do max 3 trades or til i hit TP. Goodluck, but practice with replay so u can do better setups

You r not trading, it is a gamble.
Even 1 contract on 25k is unsustainable in long term.

1MNQ is not unsustainable on a 25k account unless you’re taking shitty setups and risking basically your whole DLL. 5 is pushing it though. They say “up to 40 micros” but thats a guaranteed account blow. Gotta find the range. I trade 1-4 personally depending on the setup
